You cannot escape the effects your own emotional intelligence has on your own leadership and the way you develop other leaders!   If you don't grow your own emotional intelligence, you won't attract people who have higher emotional intelligence than you. And if, by chance, you do happen to attract them, they won't stay around very long.   The problem is that most leaders aren't able to effectively assess their own level of emotional intelligence!
