For this episode Ryan Maughan speaks to Virginia Irwin Klausmeier the President and CEO of Sylvatex.Sylvatex has been developing new manufacturing techniques to radically reduce the cost and carbon footprint of Cathode Active Material, they have focused on this part of the battery cell because according to their research it represents over 50% of the cost and around 47% of the embodied CO2 in a Lithium Ion battery system.
