In 2010, Rutgers football star Eric LeGrand became paralyzed from the neck down after fracturing his C3 and C4 vertebrae while making a tackle. At the time, doctors told Eric he’d never be able to walk again, eat solid foods, or breathe without a ventilator. In 2012, Eric won the ‘Jimmy V Award for Perseverance’ at the ESPY’s.In this conversation, Eric shares with Andrew important lessons on maintaining a positive attitude amidst adversity, turning tragedy into hope, and how to achieve big goals even as the odds are stacked against you.
