25 Apr 2024

Description

This week Andrew talks with Grammy-nominated recording artist & songwriter Miles Zuniga.  In 1994, Miles started the band Fastball with Tony Scalzo & Joey Shuffield. Fastball’s smash hit “The Way” was released in 1998 and ultimately became one of the most popular songs of the year. The song was part of an album that went platinum just 6 months after its release & the band was nominated for 2 Grammy awards. Today, Fastball is entering its 4th decade together as a band & showing no signs of slowing down. But none of it’s been easy. In this conversation, Miles shares an honest & candid look at his journey — and absolutely incredible stories you don’t want to miss. You’ll hear powerful lessons on finding inspiration in new places, how to change your trajectory with just 30 days of focused energy, & so much more.  Show Highlights:0:00 - Intro3:26 - Staying open to change5:05 - Forming Fastball6:30 - Decision to go to Austin for 30 days7:34 - Lessons from trip to Europe8:19 - Inspiration at Van Gogh Museum12:01 - 30 days in Austin17:03 - Power of practicing 5 mins/day20:20 - Getting Fastball off the ground25:01 - Creative liberties 30:35 - Decision to share the money35:03 - “A cactus that refused to die…”** Follow Andrew On Social **Twitter/X: @andrewhmosesInstagram: @AndrewMoses123Sign up for e-mails to keep up with Andrew's podcast at everybodypullsthetarp.com/newsletter
