Everyday Ultra

Ultrarunning as a Parent and Finishing Strong in a Race with Dreama Walton

26 Jul 2023

Description

When it comes to inspiring ultrarunners, Dreama Walton is someone who comes to mind for me. Dreama is a mother, has a full-time job, and an ultrarunner who finds the time to train and pursue her passions despite a very busy schedule.  And she joins us on this episode to chat about how it IS possible to continue to do what you love while also showing up for your kids. She also recently finished in the top 10 at the High Lonesome 100, which was her 4th 100 mile finish. And she moved up from 20th place to finishing in 8th place at the race as well! Meaning, she raced patiently and it paid off in the end. In this episode, Dreama shares how she approaches parenting and ultrarunning together, how she pulled off a strong finish at High Lonesome 100, and how listeners can move on from a difficult past in order to create a better future for themselves. Huge thank you to Dreama for coming on the show!
