In the 1950s, the South African Apartheid-Government introduced a new law: The Group Areas act. This meant that Namibian people were to be divided into their different ethnic groups and had to live in the areas which were chosen for them. On 10 December 1959, protests around this law escalated and led to the Windhoek Massacre. Listen to this audio-clip to learn more about this tragic event. Download the Exploradio app on Google Play (coming soon) or on iOS (currently free) to hear more about Namibia.
