Jaime Grunlan, PhD is Professer of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He holds joint appointments in Materials Science and Engineering and in Chemistry. In his Polymer NanoComposites Laboratory, his team is developing gas barrier, flame retardant and thermoelectric nanocoatings using layer-by-layer assembly. In 2020, he was awarded the Leland T. Jordan Chair in Mechanical Engineering. He has published more than 180 peer reviewed journal papers and is Editor for Journal of Materials Science, Associate Editor for Green Materials and serve on the International Advisory Board for Macromolecular Rapid Communications and Macromolecular Materials and Engineering.
