Sam shares what inspired her to start The Empathy Gift Co and what it actually is along with What is EMPATY. This has probably been one of the toughest stories to re-share but I hope by opening up it also is a gentle reminder that when you look at my Instagram photo you can just assume how Lucky I am or How Good I've Got it. I also hope it inspires families to no longer sweep it under the carpet if someone is suffering from depression because the more we can at least know the more we can support but without knowing we are unable to help in any way. I know there is still so much SHAME around this topic but thanks to the R U OK Day it is helping to open up these very confronting and difficult topics, events. In this talk I swear - I say it how it is - it's not PC - no PR agency is vetting this, no brand is telling me what to say or not to say, I am not putting any public persona as I feel if we all continue to do this we are going to loose the art of story telling and story telling isn't always about sharing the good times only it's about having a voice and sharing the truth. I am now grateful to being a podcast host of the Spa it Girl Talk Show as it now allows me to express more real ideas then just a pretty feel good picture on Instagram which is great when you want to escape but podcasts for me allows more of a real life conversation not scripted not pc which I truly love. there are so many things that come into play - you are not a failure you will always rise again if you ask for help and someone keeps you medically safe.
