Chapter 1: What electronic powder throwers are compared in this episode?

0.031 - 27.224

Camouflage isn't just for the woods. It's for looking cool. Camerado makes gear that disappears in nature but looks good at Costco. Zero tactical cringe. Camerado. C-A-M-O-R-A-D-O dot com. Standard disclaimer, folks. You probably will hear from episode to episode recipes for what we do. Remember, we're telling you what we do. We're not telling you what you should do.

0

27.665 - 53.071

What you should do is you should stick with published loads. So, you know, we disavow any responsibility. for damages done because you might not be following a safe and careful reloading practice that Jeremy or I or Jason or Trevor or Mike might be following. And it could possibly be the fact that you might have a tighter chamber. You might have a looser rifling.

0

53.412 - 101.53

You might not get the velocity we do or you might get more. If you're going to take and reload, understand you're responsible for what you do. We are not. Welcome to the Loading Podcast here on the Clear Arms Radio Network, presented by Patriot Patch Company. Camerado.com. How's everybody tonight? Good. Doing good. Nick's typing away. What you searching for, Nick?

0

102.591 - 131.862

Everybody's ghost tackle live again. Swinging by, saying hello to everybody over there. There you go. Yay! He's old. He doesn't know how to fucking mute. You don't like my Roadrunner? I love it. I'm used to that so much. How's that for a large soda? Nick, you got your cartridge corner ready today? I don't remember what it was. Let me see if the page is still saved in the book.

0

135.352 - 161.28

Well, there's something in here. See which one it was. Just pick one. I think it was this one that I don't think I found anything good on it. Why not? Because there was like nothing on there. Why? It's a weird one. 222. I can horn links. I've never heard of such a thing. I think that was it. If I remember right. It's a very weird cartridge. It almost has like no shoulder.

161.66 - 199.564

Well, what's the English shoulder? The total neck length or shoulder length is 0.03 is the shoulder length. Yeah. It's like nothing. I'll show you the schematic. What is it called again? 222, 222 acorn length. It's a very weird case. Oh, Okay, so it's got a blown-out shoulder, and what's the case rim? The case rim diameter is .378. Okay, so it's a .222 case, blown out, and...

200.32 - 226.868

So it looks like it's a very easy forming of the case. Yeah. You just take a 222 Remington Magnum, trim it to 1.79 inches, and then it says use a light load to fire form in the Eichenhorn chamber. Okay. So it sounds like a pretty easy – I just couldn't find any actual historical information on the cartridge. Yeah, that is one. I have never seen that one in all the –

227.033 - 256.204

Yeah, it also goes by 5.7 by 43 Eichenhorn. Okay. So, yeah, it's a standard .22 caliber, .224. Yeah. It looks like it's like stuff on the lighter side, about a 50-gram projectile. Well, that's typical for that cartridge era, yeah. Yep. Looks like the main historical data references from the Ackley volumes. Okay. Is that a Wildcat that just didn't make it anywhere? I'm assuming so.

256.605 - 284.547

That's what it looks like. Eichenhorn sounds Swedish, so I'm assuming maybe it was an old Swedish Mauser Wildcat cartridge or something. Not sure. And they use a 222 Magnum case to form it, okay? Yep, 222 Remington Magnum. That's one I've never really heard of, especially if you've never heard of it, Paul. Well, I've heard of the 222 Magnum, Remington Magnum. Yeah, the Eichenhorn Lynx.

Chapter 2: How do the Chargemaster Supreme and Intellidropper differ in performance?

386.451 - 406.955

Also known as the 222 Icon Lynx. Okay. This is a cartridge developed by Dr. Edgar L. Eichhorn of Arcadia, California, otherwise known as the 222 Eichhorn Link. Some word of an improvised .222, but the length of the body is the same as the .222 Magnum without the neck shortened, so that the overall length of the case is the same as a .222 Remington.

0

407.095 - 427.564

This blown-out version uses a common minimum body taper design with 40-degree shoulder. It has proven to be a very efficient little cartridge. Cases are easily made by simply shortening the standard .222 Remington mag to the proper length of 43mm and fire-forming in the usual manner, so common with other improved cartridges and rifles which accept factory loads.

0

428.044 - 453.421

The cartridge could easily become of interest to bench-rest shooters because of its high flexibility and exceptional accuracy. Ball C2 .30-31, .41-98. Standard twist was a 1-in-14, special twists were either a 1-in-10 or 1-in-12. That's from Cast Bullets. So, by the way, use DuckDuckGo, not Google. It was the fifth length. Yeah, because it's funny.

0

453.441 - 480.592

When I look it up, the fifth, one, two, three, four, fifth link comes up as the 2010 Blue Jays official guide. That's why you don't use Google. I was like, why am I looking at the 2010? So there you go, Raggle Fraggle. And it's not Einhorn. Oh, wait a minute. That's from a movie. Einhorn is a man. That's a line from a movie. I think it's Eichenhorn.

0

481.033 - 514.882

I think the first H in Swedish is a K. It's Eichhorn. Eichhorn, yeah. So, there you go. Now someone has to pick out for next week. All right. Who do we got in the side chat? Looks like Viejo. Pick a number between 80 and 56, and a number 1 or a number 2, if he's still in here. 67 and 2. Oh, between 80, 8-0, and 576. That's in, like, the index. We suck. I'll admit. We do suck. We are terrible.

515.243 - 539.89

I could probably play a better goalie than our backup. So, 2-23-2. Sorry, Raggle Fraggle. I haven't seen Ace Ventura in, like, 20 years. Because Jim Carrey kind of an out of me. Ah, another interesting one that I've never heard of. So really good. There we go. This one's got a very interesting rim. I'll say that. What the heck was that? I'm not going to say what it is.

539.931 - 577.058

I'll put it in the private chat. No, I said, what was that noise? Oh, I have no idea. It was like somebody dragging something across sand. Anyway. Ah. Boy, nobody gets cut any slack. Wow. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Good thing you didn't wear a Chiefs jersey or something. Hey, we won. That's all that matters. We're five and three. The team is back.

578.239 - 594.017

Number one favorite to go to the Super Bowl again, so we'll take that. I don't know about that. You look at the sports books. Kansas City is favored to win the Super Bowl. I'll put you a $20 bill. They don't make it. Yeah, they played terrible in the first, I'd say, quarter, quarter and a half.

596.41 - 609.143

what you been up to ray traveling for work i'm out in the carolinas right now my last last work trip for the year and sampling some of that barbecue out there I haven't had that yet. I haven't seen much of it.

Chapter 3: What safety precautions should be taken when reloading?

609.163 - 631.091

This coming weekend, I got to spend the weekend out here and meeting up with some other auditors, and we'll probably go out for a nice dinner somewhere this week. Other than that, get done with this work trip, then make a mad trip over to Nick's and meet up with them, and probably going down to Texas for some personal vacation for a while and come back and start moving into the new house. Okay.

0

631.111 - 656.963

Movers or do-it-yourself? Well, the heavy furniture we're having movers do, but a lot of the boxed-up items, we've already moved over there in storage. Just figured I'd make sure you saw that, Nick. Like I said, we haven't been the same team since the Cup. I could wait another 50 years. No, no, no, no, no. I saw it. It's still trailing Denver. Yeah. I know. Give it time. He's talking about that.

0

657.043 - 678.47

I don't even know what the score is in the game. I don't think it started yet. It did. I had it on out there until I – Had to restart the modem. It don't matter because we were up 4-0 to you guys the other day, and we still lost in the middle of the second period. Yeah, that was terrible. Horrendous. Hey, we got a follower from Twitch. We got a couple of followers from Twitch.

0

678.57 - 700.672

By the way, it's called Smith. We're doing pretty good. What's that? We still have to play Denver twice. Oh, damn it. I'm not holding my breath, though. Right? Give it 30 seconds. The score will probably change. Oh, my God. Literally, I watched – what day was that? That was last Tuesday – or no, last Monday, Wednesday. I don't remember. I sat down.

0

700.692 - 719.837

I was like, okay, I got nothing going on tonight. I'm going to watch the game. Connect to the ballet sports, whatever it is now, fan duel sports or whatever. Project it to the TV in the living room. No joke. First 15 minutes of the games, 4-0. I'm like, I'm done. Turn it off. Go to bed or whatever. Like, I'm done. This team is not showing me anything.

Chapter 4: What is the significance of the 222 Eichhorn cartridge?

721.741 - 746.123

Viejo, I have that same problem. All right, gang. So what's everybody been up to anyway? Because we didn't do that yet. We started talking smack off the top. Well, I got my new top end for my 2011 end. Yes, you did. Taking it out to the range. So far, so good. It works well. None of the magazines are bad. And, yeah, find out more on Saturday. Nice.

0

746.524 - 772.044

I got a shelf and a half done on my shelving for organizing. And no, I didn't just put it from one spot and then to the other. And I finally found my missing ammo can of primers that I haven't been able to find. Holy cow. Down in the back behind a shelf. Good thing to find. Yeah. That solves a lot of problems reloading. Yep. Found out I had more small rifle primers than I thought I had.

0

772.404 - 798.931

Thought I only had a grand. I had 2,000. Hey, raggle fraggle, I can do that from my phone. So I don't need to go and check them. They send it to me. So I bought a new rifle. Paul, what are you standing? Um, I am, uh, I have a new, uh, Dylan five 50, uh, shell plate. Okay. And it's a good time to do it right now. Other than, other than that. Yeah.

0

799.271 - 824.411

Other than whatever, you know, it needs a little bit of TLC, uh, That's from this afternoon. And the reason there's a stand on the ground is because my buddy just put a new stand up and he hasn't pulled them out of the woods yet. So I could do it from, um, it's a, no, let's see here. Shrinking far faster than my docs. Like if the stomach issues continue, I will be the right.

0

824.591 - 850.61

I was on, I will be the rate I was on. I will be the weight. I was on entry of the USF and 80 by spring. Okay, I get that all figured out. That's no fun. I could use to lose like 100 pounds real quick. Me too. Derek, you should send that all to me, and I'll take care of it for you. Derek, go ahead and reload with it. Unless it's been sitting open and exposed.

851.491 - 874.573

Before we're out in humidity climates. Baking in a hot garage. You know, even if it was baking in a hot garage, as long as it's sealed, it should be fine. And you can tell, like if it has been in the garage and you open it, as long as it's not clumped together, I think that's the biggest thing to look for, plus smell. A lot of times it'll get that brancid smell. And if it doesn't turn red.

874.854 - 905.445

If it's turned red, forget it. But normally three years, there's nothing on powder. I got powder that's from the 70s I still load with. Yeah. None of my powder makes it that long, though. I bought it secondhand, and it was sealed still. It was all the metal cans of IMR 3031. I don't think you're old enough to be born in the 70s. I'm not. Of course not. Like this, Nick? Yep, just like that.

906.691 - 925.746

Old IMR 3031. Bought it for a dollar a can. Sealed. Yeah, but it's not that old. You've got the painted metal can. Yeah, well, that's not necessarily. Yeah, it's the paint. So it's probably 80s. When did they go to the plastic? Oh, that's a great question. I've always known about the plastic. About 2000. About 2000 is when they went.

927.785 - 962.862

I was buying metal jugs of IMR 4320 until about 2000 with the plastic. I don't have any powder in the metal can, but I got some old red dot in the cardboard cylinder. Yep. Yep. Eight pounders. Four pounders and eight pounders used to come in the cardboard cylinder. So did the one pounders. Well. Anyway. Our L can used to come in. Hold on, Paul. Yeah. Yeah. There you go. Alcan. You were saying?

Chapter 5: How can reloading practices affect accuracy and safety?

965.706 - 1004.822

They even came in six ounce cans. Okay. Not even half pounders. That's cardboard, Paul. Yeah. This one right here. That one's cardboard. Yes. All right. And it's still good. I remember WW coming in the four-pound metal cans like that and the one-pounders. Bless you. That's after they discontinued IMR 4320 for my 22-250s. I went with 760 and they came in one and four-pound cans.

0

1005.427 - 1037.371

Paul, I have a feeling that's going to make a lot of noise. Okay. Not a problem. Sorry, but it's not a problem. So I am other than, other than the shelving, I didn't, I loaded up some nine. Uh, not a lot. I only did about a hundred rounds into my wife and it's some stupid ass cleaning project. So, Um, one of the things I did find is I found my other two metal plates for the Lee bench setup.

0

1037.992 - 1060.594

Um, however, um, the, uh, progressive won't fit on it. So I either have to drill a hole or I think I'm just going to use wood because I did find my hardware. Um, so when, with Lee, with the adapters, um, this is designed to go down in and hold this in place along with the side spots. Um, these actually, once you crank them down.

0

1060.878 - 1084.244

You can drill just a normal hole, and then they're a square, so they'll pull in. Like a carriage bolt, so they got a little square. So then what they do is they do that to the wood, and it won't spin. Nice. So I'm probably going to put that turret on a wood, but not this one, because I don't want to drill more holes into that one. Turret, turret, what turret?

0

1084.464 - 1108.821

No, the power cord I did not find for my Frankfurt Arsenal Intellidrapper. But I found out the one for the Lyman 6 will actually work for it. I found another Lyman 6 I didn't know I had, so I got two of them now. That one gave me problems. You're not the first person to say that, Paul. I know plenty of people have had issues with the Lyman. Yeah, and I had a Lyman before that. Turret Press. Okay.

1109.101 - 1134.51

Speaking of Lyman, that's the one that I got from Dan when I swapped out the 650 for the Frankfurt Arsenal X10 while I'm thinking about it. So if you'll excuse me for a second. So my lovely little awesome case from Otis does not hold what it's supposed to. So I told them to get one, and they said to send them pictures because they were warned.

1134.87 - 1163.028

So while I'm thinking about it, I'm going to take a photo of that quick and reply. Anyway, by the way, last week's show, the topic that we talked about didn't happen. Because I forgot to read the email that they sent me. Well, I forgot to read all of the email they sent me. And lo and behold, the item that we talked about was on a embargo until the 12th of November.

1163.269 - 1192.991

So I pulled all that stuff down. Okay. So anyway. Hmm. Ooh. NCAA delays rule change allowing athletes to bet on pro sports. Good. Because somebody didn't freaking think that through. I don't know if anybody heard, but the NCAA on November 1st was going to allow their athletes and their coaches and everybody to bet on professional sports. Yeah, that's not going to happen anymore.

1194.193 - 1222.752

So, yeah, they have changed that idea for now, according to a thing I just got from ESPN. So, obviously, somebody must have grabbed their – especially after all of the – lovely NBA betting come out this week. And it's going to get a lot, that lot, that group's going to get a lot bigger. It sounds like, Oh yeah. Yeah, definitely. So I hear there's like eight or nine teams involved. It's yeah.

Chapter 6: What are the pros and cons of using mobile apps for powder throwers?

1360.695 - 1385.985

I think they said that we're going to haul you into court unless you change something. And we're not going to buy any of your guns for law enforcement unless you change them. I don't, you know... Chicago's dragging them into court already. I mean, you know, it... I think this is also Glock doing their thing to prevent major court cases continuing. Sure. So I say give it six, eight months.

0

1386.126 - 1408.232

You'll see every other generation back on the market in non-ban states. They'll turn them into the new V model will strictly be your ban state guns. So like your 10 round versus your 17 round. I guarantee that's what it's going to turn into. I give it time. I've seen enough of these in the industry before, just not on this scale. I see that happening.

0

1408.252 - 1429.955

All they've got to do is change part of the back end and they have it. It's not a You have to steel bed. It is the only thing you can do because you can just take a gen five. Gen five was supposed to the fix around that, that piece of problem. It's literally going to be steel bedded frame. They're going to redo the frame, which now this puts the whole kibosh on pushing the gen six at shot show.

0

1430.276 - 1453.871

That was supposedly going to come out, but we'll see. This may be the Gen 6, that's all. They're just sitting there saying, you know, instead of carrying all these different models, we're just going to, you know, cut back. It works. I mean, look at, I mean, it's a damn staple gun. I mean, what the heck do you want with it? You guys hear my typing? Did you guys hear my typing? Yes? No? Okay.

0

1454.311 - 1479.527

All right. So I got to move the camera because I thought one thing and then decided to change my mind. All right. I decided that instead of fighting with the microphone cord like I did last week, I would just use my other 10-foot cable. I bought 10-foot extension cables from the Amazonians. It's an extension cord for USB.

1479.847 - 1504.439

But you gotta be careful what you use it on, because some stuff won't do very well. Just as a friendly warning. Hello, OL1 guy. By the way, OL1 guy, Rumble is working, so... because I think you usually are on room. Anyway, so I'm going to go quiet for a second here. Okay, so we don't have any dead air, guys. That's why he sits down and switches every day and over.

1504.459 - 1525.385

That was probably the best two minutes of the show. I don't know if you can hear it. So your feeling on that, Nick, is that they're just going to reintroduce the staple guns as Illinois or New York or California competitors? I think that's all the V model is going to be.

1525.905 - 1544.989

They're just going to, because with how the Glocks are done, they mold a lot of the frame stuff around the injection mold, that plastic around it. So all they have to do is modify the molds, and that's really what this gap right now is. Basically, they're engineers going back, redesigning things, and then they're going to, of course, re-inject the molds.

1545.169 - 1560.472

It has to be steel bedded there at that point. that little piece where the, on the back plate to get around all this. And I think give it time. You'll see it. You've seen it in other stuff in the industry that you just do this to get around cases and then give it six, eight months.

Chapter 7: How do recent changes in gun laws impact manufacturers?

1884.388 - 1906.015

That's a major percentage. Well, I think what's also going to happen is with all the SIG issues, I already know a new weapons pistol trials is coming next year, more than likely. Glock's getting ahead of the game. The Gen 6 is already being produced, is in design. I've seen some renderings out on Reddit for the new Gen 6 stuff. They'll put a safety on it.

0

1906.163 - 1926.923

The safety is going to be way better designed than it was on the last pistol trials. And I guarantee Glocks going for the US weapons pistol trial. They're going all out for it. They're supposedly we're developing the AR for the British military. I think they're trying to become strictly a law enforcement military contractor and getting out of the civilian market. I feel that's at this point.

0

1926.903 - 1950.461

I feel that's where they're going. Killed Colt. I mean, Colt tried that for years. This is going to be the new Colt. And then Smith and Wesson bought Colt, and somehow they're really – Once Colt lost their military contract. They went to nobody's. Yeah. It's the new Colt from what was that, 90s, late 90s, early 2000s? And then we heard, you know, FN is dropping off their scars.

0

1950.481 - 1972.889

Scars and all sorts of other models. Right. And they cut like 70% of their main workflow down in South Carolina. So it's going to be – there's some interesting time. And I think you're seeing it where we had in the first Trump presidency. You're having that major downshift in purchasing, production. there aren't the numbers aren't going out there flying and buying stuff.

0

1973.009 - 1994.497

So you're going to see that, that recession in the gun industry. So that's why I don't expect a lot of industry coming out at SHOT Show this year, this coming January, because really what else is there to do? I think you're going to see some of these second, these aftermarket companies get their hands on V model Glocks. And if anything, do something different on that. But that's so basic.

1995.018 - 2023.684

There's not going to be true, any, any true industry changing industry. From what I see that, you know, two, three years has been the 2011s have been, you know, dropping out of the, out of the woodwork. But, you know, again, there, you know, to be compliant in States, there's a lot of States that are saying, Nope, you can't bring it in here. You know, and,

2023.664 - 2056.666

But it's really interesting as far as until somebody can get the cases to court, a lot of the manufacturers are at crossroads as far as what they're doing and how they're... Now, of course, we're talking 2011, which start off in the $1,000 range and go to $8,000, $10,000. So... But about every manufacturer I know of has come out with a double stack type in 11. Yeah.

2057.247 - 2077.631

Unfortunately, I think that's – and you just keep seeing them getting cheaper and cheaper. Like, what is it, MAC, Military Armament Corp., sub-thousand dollars. I think those are going to be the new market that people are going to try competing to get. How cheap can we truly make this and run? They're fun guns. I've shot them. I don't know if I'd ever own one. I enjoy them.

2077.671 - 2101.579

I think they're a better shooting pistol than a Glock, you know, any of the striker guns I like and the triggers. But I'm old school, too, so that's what I grew up with. You know, Glock came out, and we all sat there and looked at it and said, nope, uh-uh. And I can answer Raggle Fraggle's question. If you want a SCAR, buy it now. PS90s, as far as I know, are still being made.

Chapter 8: What resources are available for mental health support in the firearms community?

2252.596 - 2272.632

in the 80s. No, I mean just now. Oh, yeah. No, I agree. Yeah. If they wouldn't have destroyed all those. Canada, what do you expect? Yep. But I just think we're going to see a very interesting SHOT Show come January. You're not going, are you? No, I'm not going. But I'm already talking to people I know that are going. Of course, I'm talking to some industry friends.

0

2272.872 - 2294.234

If I can figure out a way to pay for it, I'm going. I've already talked. We were supposed to have Joel Hodgson from RCBS on it, but he had some stuff come up. But him and I were talking about today over lunch. It's going to be a very interesting shot show. Well, I'd say the last two years you and I went, Nick, they almost seen carbon copies of each other. Oh, absolutely.

0

2294.334 - 2317.634

I think last year we were only were the biggest worry the year before. So two years ago was kind of a what's going to happen coming up election and what we're going to be. So there wasn't a ton. There was a few innovative ideas, but not a ton. And then this last year or this year, earlier this year, we We knew who had won the election. Of course, it was inauguration week when we were out there.

0

2318.135 - 2337.002

And so we were expecting some stuff. There was some stuff. Like you said, Dad, there was a carbon copy. So there was a few new things back in 24, some new stuff in 25. Nothing really just came out and jumped out and said, oh, wow. But the company I was excited to see was that –

0

2336.982 - 2356.476

when they're bringing all the, uh, day woos and produce them here in the U S I haven't heard a lick of anything about that. That off. Um, I was excited for, uh, the company that makes the gearhead, uh, brace tailhook brace. Uh, their gunsmith was designing a type 100 LMG semi-auto air soccer, uh,
