In this episode, we are interviewing Dean Lillian Mills. Lillian Mills was named the permanent dean of the McCombs School of Business in 2021 and holds the Lois and Richard Folger Leadership Chair and the Beverly H. and William P. O’Hara Endowed Chair in Business. Mills joined Texas McCombs in 2006, and during the past 16 years, she has been a top-ranked researcher and academic citizen, a champion for education in diverse settings, and a scholar with a dedication to instructional innovation at the university, college and department levels. Prior to joining McCombs, Mills worked at the U.S. Treasury Department as the Stanley Surrey senior research fellow, the University of Arizona as an assistant and associate professor of accounting, and at two national CPA firms which shaped her research on earnings management. She received a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Michigan and master’s and undergraduate degrees in accounting from the University of Florida. We hope you enjoy!
