Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer just urged people... Call out. where we see acts of anti-Semitism, where we see threats, where we see something, how important it is to say something.
In Virginia, it was a man once convicted for supporting ISIS terror who shot an instructor dead at Old Dominion University, then wounded two others until students attacked and killed him. The economy was weaker than first thought at the end of last year. GDP growth has been revised to the fourth quarter, a cut in half to just 0.7%, but on Wall Street, stocks are surging.

There are some big gains for the Dow, up 250 points. The Nasdaq is rising 105, the S&P 500 adding 37 points. And now more on that economic growth update and a new inflation gauge this morning. The economy expanded at the end of last year, but at a cooler pace than first reported. The gross domestic product for the fourth quarter was revised to growth of 7 tenths of a percent.
Inflation readings for January are mostly in line with forecasts.

Chapter 3: How are U.S. troops being honored after recent casualties?
The PCE price index rose 0.3% as expected for the year. The PCE rose 2.8%, but up 3.1%, excluding food and energy. That's up slightly from 3% in December and matching the forecast. Consumer spending rose more than expected in January, up 0.4%. Incomes also were up 0.4%. and durable goods orders for expensive manufactured things were flat in January. Jenny Koselda, Fox News.
Oil prices are down this morning. WTI, which we track daily, almost 2% lower, back to $94 a barrel. Brent crude's back to $99. And Fox's Peter Ducey reports from the White House. The Treasury Secretary, Scott Besson, is saying this.
POTUS is taking decisive steps to promote stability in global markets and working to keep prices low as we address the threat and instability posed by the terrorist Iranian regime. To increase the global reach of existing supply, U.S. Treasury is providing a temporary authorization to permit countries to purchase Russian oil currently stranded at sea.
There's two other levers that they are going to pull. They might waive the Jones Act, which says that only U.S. flagships can go from U.S. port to U.S. port, and they do plan to tap the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
Chapter 4: What concerns are raised regarding domestic attacks in the U.S.?
As the gas pumped today, another 4 cent increase. AAA's national average for regular is at $3.63 per gallon. That is 65 cents higher than before the Iran conflict. Diesel is up to $4.89 a gallon.
