Straight talk from the president. I'm Chris DiMeo, Fox News. The U.S. destroys more Iranian vessels in the wake of fears of mines in the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. Central Command says American forces eliminated multiple Iranian naval vessels Tuesday, including 16 mine layers near the Strait of Hormuz, sharing unclassified footage showing the strikes.
The Strait of Hormuz is located between Oman and Iran, connecting the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. The waterway is a major commercial shipping route with roughly one-fifth of the world's oil passing through it. The move comes a day after President Trump told reporters U.S.
forces destroyed 51 Iranian ships, threatening to hit the Iranian regime 20 times harder if it did anything to stop the flow of oil within the strait. Kristen Goodwin, Fox News. Five players were granted asylum Monday.
I made them the same offer that I had made the five players the night before. Australia's Home Minister Tony Burke, the rest of the team left Sydney Tuesday to return to Iran, citing concerns for their families there. Burke says each of those women were taken aside and given a choice to stay.
The women who are staying were given temporary humanitarian visas, which have a pathway to permanent residency. Places like Houston and New Orleans were having to deal with lengthy TSA lines.
TSA agents have been dealing with only partial paychecks. Many aren't showing up to work. And things could get worse as workers will soon get an empty paycheck as the DHS shutdown continues. We came like two and a half hours earlier, but I think we should have gotten here perhaps five hours at this rate. We just literally made it back into the building, and this is crazy.
Officials are warning travelers to get to the airport hours ahead of their flight, some airports suggesting to even get there two to five hours early.
