Chapter 1: What recent events have escalated tensions in the Iran conflict?

receiving twice the number of drones and missiles as Israel. Debris from a drone that was shot down hit one of Dubai's famous skyscrapers, killing two Pakistani nationals below. Iran's foreign minister says attacks will continue against its Persian Gulf nations.
Now, with the price of oil now spiking over $100 a barrel, Energy Secretary Chris Wright says he wants to get those tankers moving through the Strait of Hormuz vital to getting those prices down. Fox's Lucas Tomlinson. Iran has named the son of the slain Ayatollah Khomeini as the new supreme leader. This announcement coming from Iran's assembly of experts, it was widely expected.
The 56-year-old is a hardliner. He's also the son of the previous supreme leader who was slain on day one of this war.
Chapter 2: How has the new Iranian leadership impacted U.S. relations?
He's already received the backing, the approval of the Revolutionary Guards, as well as Iran's military. Certainly not the choice the U.S. wanted. President Trump had stressed that he wanted to be in on any decision-making. As far as the next leader goes, he said he wanted an Iranian leader who would be friendly to Israel, who would treat Israel well and the U.S. well.
With this new leader, it is a mark of defiance in that Iran continues to fight Israel and the U.S. A Pennsylvania trooper shot and killed Sunday night. Authorities say Timothy O'Connor was shot while conducting a stop in West Callen Township near Compass and Michael Rhodes just after 9 p.m. Officials say the veteran trooper later died from his injuries.

And this is not the only place, unfortunately. On Thursday night, another tornado came and killed a mother and daughter in western Oklahoma, bringing the total of the dead to four in this state. And it's not just Oklahoma.
Michigan getting a preliminarily EF3 tornado that's 150 mile per hour winds or more. And that may be upgraded, killing four and injuring dozens. In New York City, police confirming a device thrown by a counter-protester in an anti-Islam demonstration outside the mayor's residence this weekend was an improvised explosive device and LED with the potential of causing injury or death. Cotton has more on that. Officers have located a third suspicious device in a car that is thought to belong to one of two suspects.
Chapter 5: What details are known about the nightclub bombing in Peru?
So now we've got a total of three suspicious devices that have been uncovered here in the Big Apple. And we know at this point from high level sources and from the NYPD that at least one of the devices that has been confiscated is a confirmed IED. One of the IEDs had an explosive called triacetone triperoxide or known as TATP.
Three people arrested in connection with the bombing of a nightclub in Peru in the pre-dawn hours Saturday that injured 44.
There are identities and details surrounding the connection of the bombing that you have public, but the Dali nightclub in Trujillo had been shut down for 30 days, not because of the bombing, but because it violated operating hours and was also in violation of an ordinance banning minors.
