Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos tells Fox's Matt Finn his office sent evidence in the Nancy Guthrie case to a lab the office has had a contract with from the start. And it made sense to keep sending evidence to the same lab. We trust the FBI's crime lab. We've used them before.
But in this case, we just started with this lab. It's just that simple. And we talked to the FBI about it, and they agreed. They said, yeah, it makes sense here. Slamming claims he did not want to use the FBI's lab and was reluctant to involve the agency. I've always had a great relationship with the FBI. They're a good team. They're good people. The sheriff also says they did not find a glove at Nancy Guthrie's home. Former CNN anchor Don Lemon just pleading not guilty for his role in an anti-ice protest that disrupted a Minnesota church service last month. Lemon says he was there as a journalist. Prosecutors say he was more involved. Four of the others facing federal charges also being arraigned today pleading not guilty.
The Department of Homeland Security faces a funding shutdown late tonight over immigration enforcement. Democrats want ICE and Border Patrol reined in, demanding additional oversight of enforcement operations, President Trump telling reporters. We've taken out hundreds of thousands of criminals out of our country. We have to protect our law enforcement.
Congress is not expected to renew talks over a DHS funding bill before a midnight deadline to fund the agency, triggering a lapse in funding for the TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard. ICE and Customs and Border Protection are least impacted thanks to billions of dollars in funding received through the One Big Beautiful Bill last year.

Details of the story kept shifting, and an unsealed FBI affidavit says Ice was chasing the wrong car and that the men had dropped the broom and shovel when the officer drew his gun and were running away when he fired it.
