Chapter 1: What impact did the recent blizzard have on the Northeast?
A big cleanup underway. I'm Sue Guzman, Fox News. Northeast digging out after a massive blizzard struck Monday, leaving some areas with two to three feet of snow. Shutting down schools, roadways, causing thousands of power outages and canceling thousands of flights. Fox Weather's Brandi Campbell's in Boston and has more. Boston is one of the cities that did have those blizzard conditions here.
So yes, we got a lot of snow. We also had some winds gusting nearly 70 miles per hour, but we've had some pretty impressive records just across the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic. So we're going to start in Central Park in New York City, where they got nearly 20 inches of snow, establishing the blizzard as one of the most powerful winter storms in the city's history.
Over in Rhode Island, they had 37.9 inches of snow reported.
Chapter 2: How are American tourists affected by violence in Mexico?
That broke their longest standing record, making this the greatest snowstorm in Providence's history. Their last record was 28.6 inches of snow. American tourists still hunkering down in parts of Mexico as the U.S. State Department ordered them to shelter in place as gang violence continues following Mexico's killing of El Mencho, the leader of the Jalisco New Generation drug cartel.
American tourists in Mexico are facing a second night under State Department shelter in place orders for Puerto Vallarta and surrounding areas. Elemento's henchmen responded by taking to the streets, killing dozens of people in stores, gas stations, roadways, all burned. Flights in and out of the area were grounded. Mexico's president is urging calm.
The most important thing at this moment is to guarantee the peace and security of the entire population of all of Mexico. Mexican officials planned to arrest El Mencho, but he opened fire and fled to nearby woods, where he was later found.

President Trump set to deliver his annual State of the Union address tonight. He delivers it as we hear from Fox's Bill Malusian. There may be quite a few empty seats during President Trump's speech here on the Hill tomorrow night. Well over a dozen Democrats have said they plan on skipping that speech.
Chapter 4: How are Democrats responding to the State of the Union speech?
And keep in mind, that's after they already got some backlash last year for their actions during President Trump's first State of the Union speech last year. Democrats refuse to stand for Angel parents, as well as a young boy who was battling cancer. You remember Texas Congressman Al Green had an outburst in the middle of the speech that led to him being removed.
Now, some of the Democrats who are expected to skip the speech have already said they're going to plan to attend a rally at the National Mall that's being hosted and co-sponsored by Midas Touch and MoveOn. Other Democrats who do plan to attend the speech are planning to bring victims and survivors associated with Jeffrey Epstein.
FedEx joining other large companies suing for a refund on President Trump's tariffs. Now that the Supreme Court has ruled President Trump didn't have the authority to impose his Liberation Day tariffs, major companies are calling for their money back. FedEx didn't specify a dollar amount yet, but they filed a lawsuit Monday against U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S.,
Chapter 5: What legal actions are companies taking regarding President Trump's tariffs?
The same lawyers representing the shipping company also have clients like Costco, Bumblebee Foods, and Revlon filing similar suits. Treasury Secretary Besson has said the matter may be in lower courts for years. Reuters says more than $175 billion in tariff collections may be subject to refunds. Jill Nadeau. Fox News.
22 Senate Democrats introducing a measure Monday requiring the administration fully refund the tariffs. And the Dow fell more than 800 points Monday over uncertainty over President Trump's tariff plans. Supreme Court ruled the president could not raise tariffs, claiming it was a national emergency. He announced on Saturday that he will just raise tariffs 10 to 15 percent on all U.S.
imports anyway.
