Chapter 1: What recent events have impacted U.S. military operations in Iran?

Central Command just confirming that at least six U.S. service members have been killed since Operation Epic Fury began in Iran after two service members previously unaccounted for were found dead in a facility that was struck during Iran's initial attacks in the region.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio says the operation is targeting the missile and drone programs Iran was hoping to use as a shield for its nuclear program. There would come a point where they have so many conventional missiles, so many drones, and it can inflict so much damage that no one can do anything about their nuclear program. That is what they were trying to do.
Just before a briefing with several top congressional leaders, Rubio telling reporters there was an imminent threat.
