What happened during the dignified transfer of U.S. soldiers?
The bodies of U.S. war heroes return home. I'm Carmen Roberts, Fox News. The dignified transfer of six U.S. soldiers killed in the war with Iran took place this afternoon at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. President Trump and other officials joined the service members' loved ones for the solemn ceremony. He spoke earlier in Florida.
Coming home in a different manner than they thought they'd be coming home. But they're great heroes in our country, and we're going to keep it that way. There's always, when it comes to war, there's always that. Fox's David Spunt has more on the transfer. A solemn moment in Dover, Delaware. That's the Mortuary Sciences, Dover Air Force Base, where those fallen are brought back.
President Trump meeting with the family, also the vice president and other members of his cabinet there. I want to read all the names. Captain Cody Cork, Sergeant First Class Noah Teachens, Sergeant First Class Nicole Armour, Sergeant Declan Cody, Major Jeffrey O'Brien, and Chief Warrant Officer Robert Marzan. And they are the first U.S.
military members killed since President Trump ordered the U.S. to join Israel in attacking Iran on February 28th. Meantime, President Trump's vow that the U.S. will hit Iran very hard today, and he made that vow after the country refused to surrender. Iran still fighting back. One of Saudi Arabia's oil fields was targeted by over 20 Iranian drones. There's no confirmation of any impacts.
And two more Iranian ballistic missiles were aimed at the Prince Sultan Air Base near Riyadh. That's where the U.S. Air Force has been based. Indications that the projectiles were intercepted. As Iranian President Bozeshkin posted that video message, refusing President Trump's call for surrender, he seemed to apologize to neighboring countries for Iran's strikes. He
claimed Iran wouldn't head out unless attacked by other countries. Fox's Greg Palcott in Istanbul. America's listening to Fox News. Join Fox in supporting our troops. President Trump hosted the Shield of the America Summit in Doral, Florida today to focus on Latin American countries working with the U.S. to stop drug cartels and secure the border. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth told the group. It's an honor to be here and to establish in this hemisphere peace through strength.
For far too long, our country's gaze was only on borders and far-flung places, not our own border, not our own hemisphere, not the Western Hemisphere. Monster tornado slammed the heartland, killing at least eight people in Oklahoma and Michigan since Thursday, with at least four people missing in Union City, Michigan.
This was a violent tornado still waiting on the National Weather Service to give their preliminary rating. They're surveying the damage. You do not see something like this. This is probably one of the worst tornadoes the state of Michigan has seen in the better part of a decade. This is also the earliest in the season they've seen a violent tornado like this.
