Chapter 1: What are the latest developments in the Middle East conflict?
War rages in the Middle East to fifth day. I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News. Israelis overnight launching new airstrikes against the Iranian regime. Fox's Trey Yingst in Tel Aviv. A wave of attacks targeting the capital of Tehran, also going after some of Iran's air defense systems that still remain.
And the Israeli Air Force says for the first time since the 1980s, one of their planes was in a dogfight in the air, was able to shoot down one of the Iranian fighter jets. Now, the U.S. also keeps striking Iran.
CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper says they've hit 2,000 targets, sunk 17 Iranian ships, and... We have severely degraded Iran's air defenses and destroyed hundreds of Iran's ballistic missiles, launchers, and drones. And in simple terms, we're focused on shooting all the things that can shoot at us.
Chapter 2: How is the U.S. military responding to Iranian threats?
On Fox's Greg Palcott reports from Istanbul, Iran keeps counterattacking. Throughout the entire region, at least eight Arab countries have been hit, including three U.S. embassies, actually pushing the State Department to issue a call for all Americans to leave the area. The hitch is, guys, air travel has been disrupted from many of the key airports in the Gulf region.
Also disrupted the production and shipment of Energy, refineries close. The critical strait of Hormuz has been disrupted. And oil prices keep rising, so does gasoline, up nine more cents this morning. Triple-A's national average for regular, $3.19 a gallon, up 20 cents in two days. A new Fox News poll shows voters split 50-50, approving the U.S.
Chapter 3: What impact are the recent airstrikes having on Iran's capabilities?

Back to the Texas primaries. I said that Attorney General Ken Paxton was a Democrat. He's a Republican who faces a runoff against incumbent Senator John Cornyn in May. There's one more note on the primaries.
GOP Congressman Dan Crenshaw primaried out. He lost a fellow Republican, Steve Toth. The Senate will consider today a war powers resolution with Democrats attempting to limit President Trump in Iran after Congress got a briefing on the conflict.
Chapter 5: How are the Texas primaries shaping the political landscape?
Now, on the same day as that, a Senate committee held a hearing on a broader defense picture. That defense strategy aims to place America first, improve the defense industrial base, and increase burden sharing among our allies. War Department Undersecretary for Policy Elbridge Colby said the reason for that is simple. We cannot do everything everywhere all the time.
This is, of course, a practical reality. The American military, while without peer, is not infinite in its application and resources. Republican Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi warned we need to prepare more thoroughly for the dangers presented by countries like China, North Korea, and Russia.
But Secretary Colby testified when other countries look at the American and allied forces, they'll realize... Peace and restraint is the better course for them. Kevin Uretzky, Fox News. In Florida, a killer was executed.
Chapter 6: What happened during the recent execution in Florida?

The 53-year-old was convicted in the 1991 shooting death of Fort Pierce officer Danny Parrish, who authorities say had pulled him over for driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
Parrish ordered Kearse out of the car after he couldn't produce a valid driver's license. A struggle ensued, and Kearse grabbed Parrish's gun, firing 14 times, hitting the officer nine times. Lisa LaSara, Fox News. Kearse's last words, an apology to the officer's family, saying there's no way he can ever repay that.
