Chapter 1: What recent events have occurred in the Middle East regarding oil supplies?
Iran keeps targeting oil supplies in the Middle East. I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News. Overnight, two oil tankers were on fire after reportedly being hit by Iranian explosive vessels just off the coast of Iraq. At least one person was killed in Fox's Trey Inks. Also reports from Tel Aviv.
In another part of the Gulf, an Iranian drone slammed into an Omani oil storage facility, the largest one in the country of Oman. The drone was soaring through the skies and then slammed into one of these storage units. And Iran hit a cargo ship off the coast of Dubai, and state TV's touting it attacked yet another.
And another attack hit Bahrain, while air defenses also shot down drones in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. This is the day after the International Energy Agency announced a 400 million barrel of oil release from strategic reserves worldwide, including here in the U.S. President Trump said at a rally in Kentucky last night.
My administration, as you know better than anybody, is also working to keep the oil flowing. It's flowing all over. Now he says prices will come down, but the price of oil has been back up 5% this morning. WTI at 92 bucks a barrel. Brent crude at 97. It hit 100 again earlier today. As for gas, another 2 cent increase today. The price of the pump 61 cents higher since the start of the conflict.
And as the U.S. and Israel keep up the attacks on Iran and Operation Epic Fury, there's another worry about Iran countering. There is a particular concern in California where officials are on the lookout for any potential drone attacks. For years, Iran has relied on drones to carry out deadly airstrikes across the Middle East. Today, those concerns, a similar attack could be launched off U.S.
shores. There was a bulletin issued a week ago, but it was not released publicly at first, which says, we recently acquired information that as of early February of this year, Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles, UAVs, from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the U.S. That's Fox's Mark Meredith.

President Trump has one more Republican in the Senate willing to take an extra step to help pass a voter ID bill the Democrats keep blocking, saying it'll make it harder for millions of Americans to vote. After years defending the filibuster, GOP Senator John Cornyn of Texas is reversing course on supporting the 60-vote threshold to pass most bills.
The lawmaker revealing in an op-ed for the New York Post he'll support whatever changes to Senate rules that may prove necessary to pass the Save America Act. The piece is titled Why the SAVE Act Matters More Than the Filibuster. The House-passed measure would require proof of citizenship to register to vote and photo ID when casting a ballot. President Trump said it's a top priority.

Chapter 2: How is President Trump addressing the rising oil prices?
51-year-old Cedric Ricks was declared dead Wednesday evening after getting a lethal injection at the state prison in Huntsville. Prosecutors say Ricks and Roxanne Sanchez have been arguing in their apartment when the woman's two sons tried to break up the fight. Ricks grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Sanchez and her son Anthony multiple times.
Her other son Marcus was also stabbed several times but played dead until Ricks left. A day before the murders, Ricks had appeared in court for charges he assaulted Sanchez in a previous incident. During his trial, Ricks said he had anger issues and he apologized for the killings. Tom Rigotti, Fox News.
And just before he was executed, in his last words, Ricks apologized to Marcus, who's now 25, tearing up, saying he's truly sorry for taking his mom and brother away 13 years ago. On Wall Street, stock futures are falling before today's trading. At the World Baseball Classic, Italy routed Mexico 9-1 to move on to the quarterfinals. That win also helped the U.S. advance.
