Two days ago, we were expecting a run-of-the-mill February storm, something we're used to handling, very accustomed to. Just a little snow, maybe moderate disruption, really nothing to get too excited about. But over the last 24 hours, this forecast has shifted dramatically. The Big Apple under a blizzard warning for the first time in nearly a decade.
Over 2,200 flights have already been canceled for tomorrow and Monday as the Northeast prepares for widespread power outages thanks to winds up to 70 miles an hour. President Trump boosting tariffs across the world even more despite a Supreme Court ruling against him. Here's Fox's Jill Nadeau.
When the Supreme Court ruled the International Emergency Economic Powers Act didn't give President Trump the power to impose tariffs, he went elsewhere. Under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, he can raise tariffs for a limited time. Late Friday, he imposed a 10 percent tariff, but Saturday he said he's raising them to 15 percent.
And what about the money already collected under the previous tariffs? On Fox, Republican Senator John Kennedy put a positive spin on it. If he gives back $300 billion worth of tariff money to the business community in America, this economy is going to roar, man. The search for the mother of today's show hosts Savannah Gunthery heading into its fourth week. Fox's Matt Finn in Tucson, Arizona, with new details about an increased reward. The president of Crimestoppers all the way in Milwaukee personally gave $100,000. That's in addition to the FBI's $100,000.
The Crimestoppers president says he hopes the money will incentivize people to talk, and he claims that people can call Crimestoppers and remain anonymous. The case wasn't solved. They weren't featuring Crimestoppers, which I thought was an important thing. No one else did it, so I stepped in and offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.
We're waiting on possible matches from DNA recovered from inside the house, but there's no guarantee on that or timeline. Authorities, including local law enforcement and the FBI, say they found DNA on gloves found near the home as well as on the property, but it did not match anyone in the national database.
