Chapter 2: What measures are being taken to ensure safety during the blizzard?

As snow and winds get worse, Healy has issued a travel ban for the state's South Coast and Cape Cod. She says responders need room to clear snow and restore power. And that's why we don't need people on the road who shouldn't be on the road. At least 200 state National Guard members have also been activated. To respond specifically to particular regions that are needing help.

Governor Healy said while the ban is for the South Coast, she recommends everyone affected by the snow to stay indoors and out of any danger. Grinnell Scott, Fox News. The blizzard dumped a record amount of snow on Providence, Rhode Island, nearly 33 inches, and knocked out power to tens of thousands. Governor Dan McKee says that high winds are making it tough for utility crews to restore power.
