What is the impact of the blizzard on the Northeast?
Snow and wind. I'm Paul Stevens, Fox News. The Northeast getting ready for up to 18 inches of snow as a powerful blizzard prompts states of emergency across several locations. Fox Weather's Melanie Black in Boston. This is the first time that we have had a blizzard warning since January of 2022.
This blizzard warning going to affect later on this afternoon, and this one is going to run until Tuesday morning. So we are going to be in it for about 48 hours. hours. National Weather Service really highlighting that this could be treacherous travel that we are going to get.
Our Fox Weather Forecast Center has Boston and the surrounding southern New England area and a bit of a bullseye for where we could pick up on what could be jackpot totals around 18 to 24 inches. So this would no doubt cause some issues to travel. In fact, travel is expected to be nearly possible.
National Weather Service also highlighting that there could be some big time impacts to the infrastructure. And about 6,500 U.S. flights are canceled so far, more than 500 delayed at least through Tuesday, according to FlightAware. President Trump wants Iran running out of time, or warns they're running out of time, rather, to reach a nuclear deal with the U.S. or face consequences.
President Trump is giving Tehran just 10 to 15 days to come to an agreement. He says Iran can continue to threaten stability in the region. The warning comes as the U.S. continues building up a major military presence in the Middle East. It includes dozens of military aircraft, thousands of troops, two aircraft carriers and other naval forces.
A top Iranian official claims a draft deal could be ready in the next few days. That plan apparently centers on curbing Iran's nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief. Reuters reports the Trump administration remains divided on possible military action. Some advisors are urging the president to instead put more focus on the economy ahead of November's midterms.

A former contestant on American Idol now accused of fatally shooting his wife, Caleb Flynn, also being accused of staging the crime scene to try and mislead cops. Fox's Madison Scarpino says he's facing many charges, murder assault, and tampering with evidence as well. Flynn was booked into jail Thursday, three days after the murder. He pleaded not guilty during his arraignment.
As his attorney says in part, quote, we are both disappointed and concerned about the short timeline and seeming rush to judgment in this case. When the government runs out of leads or can't develop leads and looks at surviving spouses in cases such as these, the chance of a wrongful conviction increases.
