Chapter 1: What recent events are escalating tensions between the U.S., Israel, and Iran?
The U.S. and Israel keep attacking Iran, which keeps retaliating. I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News. The Iranians have been firing ballistic missiles toward Israel throughout the morning. Fox's Trey Engston, Tel Aviv has watched many get shot out of the sky by Israeli defense. And it wasn't clear if all of the incoming fire was taken down. Black smoke right now billowing on the outskirts of Tel Aviv.
There is clearly a large fire wherever this is located. And as the U.S. and Israel keep attacking Iran's missile launchers, President Trump in a midnight post on Truth Social boasted the U.S. has a virtually unlimited supply of weapons. Six American troops have died in the conflict, 18 wounded, and Iran keeps targeting U.S. facilities in the Middle East.
Two Iranian drones have hit the American embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, causing a limited fire and minor damage. The building was empty at the time. It follows an attack yesterday on the U.S. embassy in Kuwait, which remains closed. Iranian state media says a command and staff building at a U.S. air base in Bahrain has been destroyed. That's Fox's Jonathan Savage.
The State Department's urging Americans to get out of more than a dozen countries in the region, but that's tough in some places. More than a thousand flights canceled again today. The Senate and then House will get a briefing on the conflict this afternoon, the day after congressional leaders got one. Republican Senator Tom Cotton just told Fox...
I thought Secretaries Rubio and Hegseth, Chairman Kaine and Director Ratcliffe did a very good job of laying out the intelligence and the current state of operations. But Democratic Senate Leader Chuck Schumer calls the briefing insufficient. That briefing raised many more questions than it answered.
As Democrats keep blocking funding for homeland security, demanding immigration enforcement reform, Secretary Kristi Noem is about to address a Senate hearing on that in Iran and... It's possible Noem will also discuss the man who opened fire in Austin, Texas after he was killed and found with an Iranian flag on his shirt.
Authorities, though, looking at potential terrorism ties, nothing definitive in that investigation. Fox's David Spohn, a third person, has died from that shooting. America's listening to Fox. This is Ainsley Earhart. Thank you for joining me for the 52-episode podcast series, The Life of Jesus.

Chapter 2: How is the U.S. responding to Iranian attacks on its facilities?
The seat currently being held by incumbent Republican Congressman French Hill. In the state's fourth district, a Democrat primary will decide who takes on GOP incumbent. Rep Bruce Westerman in the general election as Democratic voters also decide on two gubernatorial candidates vying for a chance to take on incumbent governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders in November. Jeff Manasso, Fox News.
Another tariff legal setback for the president. A federal appeals court is rejecting a Trump administration effort to slow down potentially tens of billions of dollars in refunds after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down many Trump tariffs last month, taking issue with the president's use of an Emergency Powers Act to implement them.
The Justice Department was pushing for a 90-day delay in the refund claims process as the administration works to implement tariffs under a different statute. Instead, the appeals panel is moving the process to the next phase by setting the issue to a lower court, the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York.
The Supreme Court did not address refunds in its tariff decision, which paved the way for importers who paid the tariffs to seek refunds. Lisa Brady, Fox News. There's financial fallout to that Middle East conflict. The stock market sell-off looms. Dow futures down more than 800 points. Oil and gasoline prices are surging up. I'm Dave Anthony. This is...
