The high court weighs in. I'm Paul Stevens, Fox News. The U.S. Supreme Court Friday rejecting the ability of President Trump to impose reciprocal tariffs without the approval of Congress. President Trump didn't hold back in his criticism of the U.S. Supreme Court following that 6-3 decision, which, of course, struck down, at least temporarily, his global tariffs.
A ruling he didn't have the power that he could impose import taxes under IEPA, which is, of course, the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. The president, of course, has credited his use of tariffs as a tool to end foreign conflict, as well as securing favorable trade deals for our country.
Now he's countering the ruling with an alternative tariff order, which includes setting a temporary 10% global levy. And that's Fox's Kevin Cork in D.C.
Chapter 2: How will the upcoming bomb cyclone impact the Northeast?
Another bomb cyclone brewing for the East Coast, expected to deliver heavy snow from Virginia all the way to Maine this weekend. Less than a month after the last Nor'easter bomb cyclone, another one is set to slam the Northeast with the biggest snowfall in years. An updated forecast shows the storm will hit every major city along the I-95 corridor.
Areas like Boston, Cape Cod, down to New York, Long Island, and the New Jersey shore are likely to get 12 to 18 inches of snow, with Philadelphia possibly getting up to a foot. And it's not just heavy snow. The storm is likely to bring powerful 50 to 60 mile per hour winds, which could lead to blizzard conditions. Carmen Roberts, Fox News.

A federal appeals court allows Louisiana's law requiring the Ten Commandments in schools. In 2024, Republican governor of Louisiana, Jeff Landry, signed a law requiring all public schools and universities in the state to display the Ten Commandments in classrooms. Parents suing to block it, arguing it tramples on their rights to religious freedom.

Chapter 5: How has a Louisiana law regarding the Ten Commandments in schools been challenged?
But the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans overturned The judge is ruling, saying the law gives school boards discretion on how to implement it. In a statement, the court's majority says in part, we do not know, for example, how prominently the displays will appear, what other materials might accompany them, or how, if at all, teachers will reference them during instruction.

The 32-year-old charged with a hate crime. Cops say he was behind the wheel of a utility truck which rammed the gates of the synagogue. Before leaving the scene, cops quickly tracked him down and arrested him.
