And although we seem to be very familiar with these concepts - understanding them and practicing them is definitely nuanced and not so straightforward. So today you are going to get an amazing explanation of the nervous system and what trauma ACTUALLY is and how it shows up in your body and why we should be aware that we all have trauma. And the fertility journey can add to this. When we think about the fertility journey, so much happens that is considered - well traumatic. Sometimes trauma with a capital T and sometimes years of relatively minor experiences that can accumulate trauma and sneak in without you even know it. I’m so glad I have my guest to navigate this with you. Today my guest is the most fabulous Jessica Carlin. She is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner ™, movement educator and Registered Massage Therapist. With over 20 years of experience, her practice is coherence based and client centered, combining evidence with intuition. Jessica works with layers of embodied anatomy, discovering the stuck patterns in tissues and systems of the body and supporting the renegotiation of these patterns to help find physiological coherence, health and nervous system resilience.
