Among his ventures are X-energy, an advanced nuclear energy reactor and fuel company; Intuitive Machines, a premier provider of technologies and space exploration services that became the first company to land on the Moon; Axiom Space, building the first commercial space station while being the sole provider of private astronaut missions to the International Space Station; and Quantum Space, focused on building versatile, long-duration spacecraft. He is also the founder and CEO of IBX, an innovation and investment firm that oversees the portfolio of companies he helped create. Dr. Ghaffarian is an active philanthropist focusing on education, STEM initiatives and the pursuit of interstellar travel.
