FUTURE of SPACE

Fos Lindy Elkins-Tanton

07 May 2024

Description

🚀 The FUTURE of SPACE (FoS) video podcast is a candid and informal conversation between myself and leaders, investors, innovators, educators, celebrities, movers, and shakers who are shaping the future of humankind into outer space and here on Earth. Just like how two friends would chat and philosophize together, with one thing missing, a glass of wine! 🚀 Our guest today is Lindy Elkins-Tanton. Lindy is a planetary scientist, the Principal Investigator of the NASA Psyche mission, and Arizona State University Vice President of the Interplanetary Initiative. Her research concerns the formation and evolution of rocky planets. She has led four field expeditions in central Siberia. The Asteroid (8252) Elkins-Tanton is named for her, as is the mineral elkinstantonite. In 2020, she received the Arthur L. Day Prize and in 2010 the Lowell Thomas award from the Explorers Club.
