His books — including Astrophysics for People in a Hurry, Death by Black Hole, and Letters from an Astrophysicist — have become New York Times bestsellers and have brought complex scientific ideas to millions of readers.Neil has served on two U.S. government commissions focusing on the future of the aerospace industry and space exploration policy and was appointed to NASA's Advisory Council in 2006. Dr. Tyson has dedicated his career to making science accessible, engaging, and culturally relevant, playing a leading role in science education and outreach.
