it's so good it's so good yeah we will start with our first story from Georgie hi I recently became a listener and I've been binging every episode I wanted to send in my personal paranormal story it'll be a little long so I don't know if you guys will want to include it but hope you like it anyhow My mom bought my childhood home when I was five.
It was built in either the 1910s or 1920s with all the old, beautiful architecture. When we moved in, there was a lot of stuff left from the old lady that had lived there before us. Old china, random knickknacks, a suitcase in the attic that was empty, but we never moved it from there. She didn't die in the house or anything, but she did pass I think a couple years after we lived there.
I always had a feeling in the house, not necessarily bad or anything, but there always seemed to be a presence. I knew that from very early on, even though my little kid brain didn't really know what that meant. As I got older, it was clear that other people felt it as well, as most of my friends that would come over would tell me how they were creeped out.
Most of the early stuff is stories from my mom since my brother and I were so young. She told me once that she was using the bathroom in the middle of the night with the door cracked open since no one else was awake. She saw a passing person out of the corner of her eye, small figure, brown hair, and what looked like a pink bathrobe. She figured it was me getting up to also use the bathroom.

Chapter 3: What experiences did Georgie have in her childhood home?
And my mom was kind of spooked. She would also often smell old lady perfume, nothing like anything she owned, like she would turn over in bed and suddenly smell it so strongly. My brother had a period when he was young when he was sick all the time, and when she would go to check on him in his room, she would smell it in there too.
She always thought that this was the spirit watching over him while my mom was asleep. As I got older I would try to turn all the lights on like a trail throughout the house and of course get in trouble for racking up the light bill. I always heard things and my mom would tell me that it was just the old house settling. Now that I know her stories I feel so betrayed lol.
It's funny now that as an adult I love the paranormal and horror in general Because growing up, my mom wouldn't allow me to even watch a scary movie in her house because, quote, it'll let things in. Oh, I've heard that before. Do you believe that? I think it's all about your intentions and... What you're open to? Yeah. Okay. Personally. I hope that's not true.
But it's funny because they're like, it'll let things in. There is already something in that house. True. Like what else? Maybe it'll agitate it. The scariest memory I have is when I was in high school. It was Halloween evening and I was getting ready. For reference, my room was on the third floor. My brother used to stomp up the stairs obnoxiously because he was 6'1 by this time. He was 14.
I was 16. And the steps were shallow, old house things. So he would take them two at a time. I could always hear him coming. I was alone in the house, no brother, no mom. My dog was with my mom and my cat was in the room with me. In the silence of the house, I heard two hard steps the way my brother walked upstairs. I called out for him, no answer.
I called my mom's phone, asking her if she was home. She said that she was still at work, probably wouldn't be home for an hour or so. I picked up my cat and a pair of scissors that I held like a knife and bolted outside. And I sat in my driveway with my cat for over an hour that night until my mom got home and I slept in my mom's bed as a 16 year old.
I moved out eight years ago and my brother and my mom both moved out of state. She was trying to sell the house, but it took forever. In the meantime, a family friend lived there for a year or so when she was having family issues.
My mom told me that recently she had gone to visit, and while she and her friend were having a glass of wine in the living room, they heard things falling over on the third floor. My mom's friend just said, Yeah, that happens a lot. I've named her Eloise. They started comparing stories and our family friend and her children-grandchildren-
that came to visit were experiencing all the same things we had for all those years. That's all for that story. I have more. My grandparents' haunted farmhouse, the haunted bar that I worked at, etc. I'll send them in sometime. Love the pod. Love you ladies. Georgie.

Chapter 4: How did Georgie's family perceive the presence in their house?
I felt I had to reach out and send you some stories. My family, especially my Nana, have all had unexplained experiences and stories. In fact, a medium was adamant that my Nana was very sensitive and could talk to the other side if she chose to practice, which she doesn't want to. There's so many stories I could tell you, but I will settle for a few that raise the hairs on the back of our neck.
And if you're interested in these, I can reach out again with some more stories. So here goes. This experience happened to my dad. My dad definitely believes there's more to life than we know, and this interests him, but he always tries to explain things where he can, but this he says he can't. who was driving home one evening with his fiancée at the time, prior to my mum.
He said the roads were quiet and the roads were covered with a mist. As he rounded the corner, he was startled as he came upon a car ahead of him. My dad was confused by this as there were no side roads, so where did this car come from? His fiancée pointed out that the car was very old-fashioned, not like the cars on the road at the time. This was probably the 1980s at the time.
Curious, my dad drove faster to catch up with the car to get a better look. However, no matter how fast or slow he went, the car ahead would always match his pace. If he sped up, the car would speed up. If he slowed down, the car would slow down. Almost like there was a bar attached to the two cars so they could never reach each other.
My dad said at one point he was doing near 80 and the car kept speeding up ahead. How could an old-fashioned car keep up and maintain that speed? This made my dad even more curious. He followed this car for at least 30 minutes and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get close to the car. He said he even tried slowing right down to almost stopping and the car would match.
Then he would floor it and the car ahead would do the same. What really creeps me and my dad out though is the people in the car. My dad said that there were cloaked figures in black and an old lady in the back. He said he could see the back of her head which had very long gray hair and However, he noticed something in the back of her head. A skull.
Not like a normal skull that you would imagine, but as though a soul was staring out at him from within her head. What? My dad doesn't get scared easily, but he said that the skull was looking through him and not at him. Once again, my dad tried to get closer to get a better look, but nothing he did would allow him to get closer.
Our theory was that my dad had maybe overlapped another layer of time, perhaps, until he said the car drove off in another direction. To this day, my dad has driven that road many times and he cannot explain what he saw and has never seen anything like that again.
Um, okay. My thought... They both saw it. My thought is that it would be, like, some kind of cult-ish thing. Like, they're heading to, like, a ritual or something. And so I would be very scared. Yeah. But what about... Clothed figures all in a car with a gray-haired woman.

Because if those rats are that big... You have a huge problem.
Bigger problems, I think, than a spirit.
I'd rather be a spirit. But no, I believe that it was one because I hate whenever people say like it was trying to sound normal. It was trying to sound like me. It was trying to be, you know, mimicking. Imitating. A human.

Hate that so bad.
And I can just picture it. I think maybe it's just because we were always like sitting on our bed together or talking, you know, just like having a sibling moment. And then all of a sudden, like this crazy thing's going on right outside the door. I would...
Like straight up, it would be, I would pass away. Like my soul would like float. Like I'd be like, oh, and my soul would just like fly out of my body. Oh my God. Oh, I just got hot thinking about that.
I'm sweating from laughing.
I cannot imagine. It's really scary. Like looking at that door right over there. Imagine if it started shaking.
