In the year 2093, humanity still bore the scars of a deal with the devil. Fifty years prior, he had walked among them, granting wishes that seemed miraculous but came at the ultimate price—eternal damnation. In response, the controversial company MindSafe emerged, offering a way to cheat death and, supposedly, the devil’s grasp. Andy Wells, a quiet high school teacher, faces the impossible when his dying wife, Lori, reveals a haunting secret: her wish to spend a life with him was a pact with the devil, set to expire on their 40th anniversary. Torn between love, betrayal, and salvation, Andy agrees to her desperate request to enter MindSafe’s stasis program—only to let her die when the cost proves too great. But the devil, never far, ensures Andy realizes the horrifying truth: love, guilt, and sacrifice are his eternal torment.
