178. Self-Care in Times of Change: Anne Shoemaker's Advice on Letting Go of Control

Anne is a career advisor, strategist, and coach for executive and aspiring executive women. She applies her 20+ years of experience as an executive and leader in corporate, non-profit, privately held, and early-stage startup businesses toward supporting and elevating women into positions of influence in their careers and communities.   Through 1:1 and group coaching, speaking engagements, and workshops, Anne helps women unlock their potential so they can reach new levels of impact and fulfillment. Key is to quiet everything else so we can hear our inner voice and find our ‘inner knowing’. Mindful Mediation or journaling can help find the silence and quiet. 2.    We don’t need to compromise ourselves – we can find our own space to just be ourselves. Exploring what we want to do and who we are is not enough – we need to take action and ‘do it’. It can start with action that is low risk so we learn and adjust. 3.   Most of us think success is reaching a destination but the journey and the steps taken can be success. Control can jump in and derail our efforts. If we hold too tight we can miss our own energy shifts.
