Steve meets Dr. Jay Verma, a practising primary care physician for HealthTech startup, Medloop, who improves the clinical interface by automating administrative processes. Dr. Jay Verma is a practising primary care physician (General Practitioner) who works in an urban part of North West London. He fervently believes the key to driving better healthcare is through better data collection and analysis. Along with his team, they have won a national award for improving diabetes care in November 2017. More recently, they have been shortlisted for a national award for improving asthma care. He is also a director for Data Care Solutions and he has helped commissioners, federations, and practices find solutions on how best to reduce variation in primary care. He is currently consulting for a health tech startup, Medloop, to improve long-term condition reviews in high deprivation rates and under-doctored areas. Using digital technology to automate administrative processes, Medloop has improved the clinical interface, so clinicians spend minimal time reviewing the electronic health records.
