Ireland coach Andy Farrell joins Joe Molloy in studio to chat about his new autobiography ‘The Only Way I Know’, his grounding in life & grounding in rugby, as well as how those early beginnings paved the way for a most unique career path. From his stunning teenage debut for Wigan Warriors & the meteoric ascent which followed, navigating his experiences of early fatherhood, through to the many milestones he achieved on the rugby pitch. Andy delves into the challenging transition from league legend to fledgling union player, and how his injury-impacted spell on the sidelines crystallised elements of his coaching philosophies to this day. He also broaches the origin of his time with the Ireland team, from embedding aspects of his own ideology within the Joe Schmidt school, through to taking the reins post a tough 2019 World Cup, and the journey the team has embarked upon under his stewardship.
