Quand le bitcoin a été créé en 2009, il valait 0,001$. 8 ans plus tard, en décembre 2017, son prix est passé à 20 000$. Certaines personnes sont devenues riches grâce à lui, d’autres au contraire ont perdu beaucoup d’argent.  Au-delà de ces chiffres spectaculaires, il est parfois difficile de comprendre ce qu’est le bitcoin. Est-ce une nouvelle monnaie révolutionnaire ou un simple outil de spéculation ?
