Chapter 1: Why are Amazon Prime members charged more for certain items?
You pay $140 a year for Amazon Prime, and Amazon is thanking you by charging you more than non-members on certain items. Yikes! A study found Prime members were shown higher prices on everyday items because Amazon knows you're already in their ecosystem. You're not going anywhere, so why discount you? Here's your move. Before you buy anything over $20 on Amazon, do this. Copy the product name.
Paste it into Google Shopping. Takes 10 seconds. You'll instantly see if Walmart, Target, or a third-party seller has it cheaper. Also, install the free browser extension, Camel, Camel, Camel. It shows you the price history of Amazon products going back years. You'll see if it's actually a deal or if Amazon raised the price to make the discount look good. I started a newsletter only about AI.
It comes out once a week. SplashofAI.com. Next up, a call from my weekend show, The Kim Commando Show. Enjoy! Who really knows you best? Your spouse?
Chapter 2: What steps should you take before buying items over $20 on Amazon?
Your kids? If you use a smartphone, a computer, or any internet-connected device, thousands of companies are tracking what you do online. Big Tech makes billions every year monitoring the sites you visit and the things you buy. A lot of that activity is tied to your IP address. They build a profile about you, what you search for, what you like, and use it to target you with ads.
That's why I use ExpressVPN. It hides your real IP address and encrypts your internet connection so what you do online isn't visible to companies, your internet provider, or anyone else trying to snoop. It's fast, secure, and easy to use. One subscription covers up to eight devices, your phone, laptop, tablet, even your smart TV. Just one click and you're protected.

Chapter 3: How can browser extensions help you find better deals on Amazon?
That's ExpressVPN.com slash Kim. ExpressVPN.com slash Kim. Douglas in Indianapolis, glad to have you with us. What's going on, Doug?
Hi, it's good to talk to you. I have a round barn problem. It was originally a dairy barn that my great-grandfather built in 1908.
Wow, that is awesome. That is crazy.
And there are not that many left. There used to be, I don't know, 200 or 300 in Indiana, and now there's less than, I think, 80. But anyway, I have been in the process of restoring this barn for the last 25 years since my father passed. I'm the...
Chapter 4: What strategies can you use to protect your online privacy?
fourth generation that has owned the barn. And my wife and I, we have replaced about 80% of the siding, and I've done some foundation work. But I need to put a new roof on it, and it's a huge barn, and it's going to be like $60,000 plus just to put a roof on the barn. And windows need replaced, and I need to build some new sliding doors, and they're very large doors.
But I was wondering what AI apps or programs that I could use to help me figure out how to fund this, like a fundraising campaign, something that would guide me in this direction.
Do you use the barn?
It's not in use. I mean, originally it was a dairy barn. We have used it for storage. But now in the past, I have given tours through the barn from kids that came out from Muncie. Muncie, Indiana is where I'm at. But from schools there, they would ride their bikes out on the trail. Their teachers would bring them out and I would give them a tour through the barn and explain
you know, the original purpose of the barn, that type of thing.
Would it ever make a good, like, event venue?
Oh, yes. And that's what we were thinking of maybe a, oh, gee, like a farmer's market or, you know, a social venue, antique flea market type venue. We have about three acres of grass around the barn of pasture, not actually pasture, but it's I mow it with my lawnmower, but car shows, that type of thing.
That's awesome. That is, that's incredible. Well, you know, just about any of the AI chatbots will help, whether it's Gemini or Claude or ChatGPT, depending upon which one. They all have their day. I've noticed that Gemini is pretty lame lately. Gemini was really good, now it's not. ChatGPT with the new version 5.2 seems to be stepping it up.
Cloud is really, for me right now, I think it's my favorite. I think it really does have the edge over the other ones. But once you start using this, what you need to do is to tell the chatbot, whichever one you select, I would probably go with Chachibidi first for your use. And tell it exactly everything about the barn, the history of the barn, and how it was used as a dairy farm.
