Chapter 1: What are the latest updates on Fallout Season 2 and Season 3?
It's cables. You know, you've got to squeeze the whole thing on your head. Like, there's too much friction. Until it's as easy as picking up a game controller or just putting on a pair of regular glasses. It's on.
There's always going to be just a bit too much friction. Of course. Yeah. Gary, I could talk with you for hours. I want to catch up and hear everything. But we got to get to the news. Get into the news. So let's jump into it. Of course, this is Kind of Funny Games Daily.
Each and every weekday, we run you through the nerdy news you need to know about live on YouTube, Twitch, and, of course, on podcast services around the globe. If you love what we do, support us with the Kind of Funny membership available on Patreon, YouTube, and now Spotify and Apple Podcasts to get all of our shows ad-free. Watch us as we record them live. And... Get a daily exclusive show.
For your chance to be part of the show, submit your thoughts and opinions as YouTube Super Chats as we go. We have Gary Whitta here. If you want to ask Gary about his life, how has he been, YouTube Super Chat away.
If you want to get involved in some of the news stories like I brought up before to get ahead of it, we're going to be talking about Fallout Season 2, getting a release window and a green light for Season 3. And we'll be talking about Captain America slash Black Panther, that game getting delayed. So get ahead with your Super Chats if you'd like. Some housekeeping for you.
We're an 11-person small business all about live talk shows. Today, after kind of funny games daily, you'll get a games cast where Tim and Greg open their 10-year-old gaming time capsule. A nice little look back and look at the present of where we currently are. The thing about 10 years is not that long in gaming, I don't think. Yeah, it's interesting. It's right.
I wonder if there will be some crazy takes like we'll all be wearing VR headsets 10 years from now, you know what I mean, when you think about it.
I mean, what's in there? Is it predictions? Yeah, I think it's predictions of where the games industry will be.
So yeah, it was a Gamescast or whatever the show was 10 years ago. I assume a Gamescast. Yeah, they try to predict what's going on today. And this Gamescast came out 10 years ago exactly today.

Chapter 2: Why is Fallout New Vegas so beloved among fans?
Chapter 3: What are Gary Whitta’s thoughts on the current state of video game adaptations?
Chapter 4: How is Gary Whitta enjoying new gaming tech and his home setup?
Can you tell us a little bit about these goodies? Was there something special at all?
There was one thing that I really... I've been wanting to get into... Oh. For a while. Okay, okay. I know that's the next level. I have a very nice TV in the living room. Yeah. But I've been wanting to do this for a while. Yeah. We just had our living room painted white. And so one wall has become a projector screen. I splurged a little bit. I bought a little bit too much.
I spent a little bit too much on a 4K projector. Sick. Top of the range.
Yeah.
Let me tell you something. Playing Helldivers, playing anything, really, on a 120-inch screen in 4K is sick. You're speaking my language. There's no going back. You can't go back to a regular TV once you've turned an entire wall. Into your video game. Oh, my God. It's sick, dude.
Okay. So he splurged a little bit on a projector screen. Yes. That's nice.
Yes.
I love that.
And we've just been kind of, Lear and I have been a little bit of a nesting. Oh, before I forget, I mustn't forget. My three-year-old is watching. She was at home. She was really sad. She didn't want me to leave the house this morning. She was like clinging on to me, going, Daddy, I don't want you to go. I said, I'll say hello to you on the show. So, hello. Be good. Be nice to your mother.

Chapter 5: What upcoming games are contenders for Game of the Year?
Chapter 6: What impact do remasters have on classic games like Fallout?
Chapter 7: What are the challenges and opportunities in adapting video games to TV and movies?
The closest I've come is the Fallout 4 VR, which I thought, oh, that could be interesting. And I might still give that a try. I think that... If they were to do like a Fallout 3 or a New Vegas remaster, which I don't think they've done yet, right?
No, not yet.
But in this age of remastering being very popular, those feel like prime candidates, right? They're old enough, right? Yes, of course. They think they kind of justify it?
They are old enough. They are beloved enough. They deserve it.
360 was a xbox 360 correct we are coming hot off of the tail of oblivion remastered yes that's the title that just i mean it's still red hot right now it's sold a bunch people loved it yeah they wanted more of it they're remastering things like day is gone which is not even that old right yeah yeah well we remastered the last of us a lot too yeah like what four times now so um
Yeah, I'd be very surprised if there aren't at least conversations or someone inside Bethesda is working on these things. Of course. Or sometimes they farm it out. But I've got to believe that someone's working on Fallout 3 and or... How cool would it be if they did Fallout 3 and New Vegas as a bundle and they remastered them both as one product?
Gary, stop it. People would go crazy for that. Now I've got you interested. So that would be great. Yeah, after season one, we had the big talk of, wow, this is so good. They should capitalize on that. And they weren't really ready. They didn't have anything there. We got a Fallout 4 next-gen patch pretty shortly after the season one. But we didn't get the full remastered treatment, right?
And I think if you waved the magic wand, you would have Fallout New Vegas ready to go, remastered in December. This hits. You would pair it up with that. Yeah.
I don't think we're there. Maybe some of it's a time with season three of the TV show. And then probably like, because it's a ways off, right? But Fallout 5, whatever that is, that's probably a next-gen title at this point. PlayStation 6, whatever. But again, I don't want to go off on another thing, but you know how I felt about Starfield. It's that...

Hello and welcome back. During the ad break, we were talking with Gary about some great games this year. He brought up that he's been playing a little bit about Expedition 33. What a game. We told him to get put on to Blueprints.
I told him he would love Schedule 1.
Leah loves puzzle games, so we're going to get into Blueprints. So, of course, if you have some great Game of the Year contenders for Gary Whitter.
At this point in time, we're almost halfway through the year. What are the Game of the Year contenders? Expedition 33. Schedule 1.
Schedule one. I'm riding for schedule one, Gary. Do you think Doom and Dark Ages will be in the picture? Certainly in the shooter categories. In the shooter categories, yes. I think Doom and Dark Ages will ride a high right now. I do not think it will be one of your final six at the end.
Okay.
