When we talk about the achievements of this person, it’s actually mind-boggling they are 22 - and I don’t say that in a patronising way either. Shaneel Lal’s relentless passion and dogged determination was monumental in conversion therapy being banned in Aotearoa. They have recently been in the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list for social impact. And Shaneel leaves no stone unturned when it comes to fighting for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.
