Everyone sees me as a football player, but before anything else, I'm human. Every single day, I'm still learning how to live with problems, mistakes, relationships, emotions, ever since I was born. This isn't a normal podcast. Everything here is spontaneous, real, and genuine. Just honest conversations about what it means to be alive.

Welcome everyone, it is Kentucky Sports Radio Friday, June the 26th. I am Matt Jones here in Owensboro, Kentucky at the Volunteers of America Freedom House Mid-States on an absolutely horrible day of weather, but a great crowd here as we open up the Freedom House.
in owensboro kentucky we just did it a couple months ago in clay county and now we are here in owensboro and what an amazing crowd has come out the clark's pumping shop phone lines 859-280-2287 a vision auto glass text machine is 772-774-5254 in this edition sponsored by the tj smith law office if you call tj i'll make them pay i just noticed in the front row something i've never seen at a ksr show before a jacksonville state t-shirt
Right there in the front row. But awesome crowd. For those of you, probably all over the state, but certainly in the central and western part, you know it is a rain downpour.
Chapter 6: What are the upcoming themes for UK football games?
But we all drove this morning through the weather and got here. And, you know, I thought to myself, man, with this weather, I don't know what the crowd is going to be like. And then we walk in here, Drew, in an absolutely packed house. We are in a kitchen. At the Freedom House here, but everyone has filled every corner to get this going this morning.
I kind of feel like Martha Stewart or Rachel Ray up here with this big public kitchen. Could you go ahead and make us a pizza? Show us how it's done? Put on a show for the crowd here? I got into my pantry last night.
Chapter 7: How does nostalgia play a role in UK sports culture?
I saw the flour that I have. I have flour. I have oils, Shannon. I have all the things that one needs. You have it all, but you don't know what to do with it. That's the problem. But you've got to have it first. That's right. If you don't have it, it wouldn't matter if you knew what to do with it anyway. Was your alarm going off the entire time?
Chapter 8: What is the best Dr. Pepper according to the hosts?
I'm going to talk about that here in just a second. We are at Freedom House. This is, of course, a residential recovery program. that has been going up around the state that allows mothers and children to live together while the mother gets treatment for addiction. Today is the grand opening.
There are 30 mothers and their children that can be served right here, residential treatment services in the community. We saw what they've done in other places and now coming to this part of the state. And this is a group I support. We've been at the opening in Louisville. We've been at the opening in Clay County. And now we've been at the opening here. And I'm sure we'll do others.
And it's great for the community and this area. And thanks to everybody that came out to support not just us, but this house as well. Yeah, and it's a great turnout here to support as well. A lot of familiar faces. Could just go right down the road. We got Tyler from KS Bar. Haven't seen him in a while. Oh, there he is. My aunt and uncle just walked in. It's a big day here.
Man, you – Tyler's got – is that yours? Oh, my goodness. I now have KSR employees with children. And I still don't have a child, so there you go. You should get one. They're fun. So –
you mentioned that you asked about the alarm yes yesterday i had to contact the hamdens okay and they were very nice bush and his wife could not have been nicer found out a piece of information that i felt bad about uh the alarm company called their house four times uh the night that it went off unfortunately they did say they had their phone off but they woke up in a little bit of a panic
because they thought maybe their house was being broken into, but it was their old house. But we got it all cleared up, got everything canceled. But I felt bad because, you know, since it was under their name, they were getting all the calls as I was walking in and out of my house.
You should not feel bad at all.
This is on Bush Hamden. We're blaming him for this. You did that during football season. You can't do that.
He can be blamed for a lot, including your alarm system going off. Now, he should have had an easy transition from one owner to the next. He should have given you all that information.
