Today we are talking about a non-negotiable quality for someone who has BIG goals...DETERMINATION.The definition of "determined" is decided, settled, resolved. When we goals that are outside of our current skillset, there's a whole lot of figuring out of things that has to happen to get from where we are now to where we want to go! And we can't wait around for someone to hand it to us, we have to take ownership and go get it!! Along the way, there will be setbacks. The setbacks cause frustration, and how we respond to our frustration is what will determine how far we go. For the successful people, frustration actually drives CHANGE. For the unsuccessful, it causes them to quit. So many people allow discouragement to rob them of their dreams, because they don't see adversity as part of the process that is shaping them into the type of person who can handle the amount of success we desire!! Most of the time our discouragement is not rooted in reality, its rooted in our unrealistic expectation of what reality should be. And most of the time that unrealistic expectation is rooted in comparison! Comparison is the thief of joy, and comparison keeps people stuck!! The truth is, no matter how successful a person is, they all hit a wall at some point!! Every single person who has ever set a goal and worked hard to achieve it has gotten to a point where they feel frustrated because what they are doing doesn't seem to be working! How you respond to your frustration will determine your trajectory, and this episode will walk you through how to overcome your frustration, lack of results, make change happen, develop yourself and your skills, AND how to become CONFIDENT!
