Postpartum depression affects between 15 and 20% of Australian women during the first year after birth which translates to thousands of new mums and about 100,000 families every year that experience this often invisible condition. For anyone who has experienced it, you’ll likely know that it is more than a short wave of sadness. It can have lasting effects on mums, on their relationships with their babies, on their friendships and their relationships.
