What do we have on deck for the first ever episode of Scrolling with Haley? Well... Nick Shirley is back. He posted a little teaser on X over the weekend saying that he's arrived in California. I've been refreshing his page like an addict, so I will bring you the latest there, but he certainly will have his work cut out for him in Newsom's, California.
He even testified on Capitol Hill a few weeks ago saying that it's worse in California than it is in Minnesota. And we already know how bad that fraud scheme is in Minnesota. It's expected to be at least, what, $9 billion? Probably way worse. Also want to get into Don Lemon thinking he's in the clear after storming a church for clicks on YouTube.
But it's the very video that landed him in hot water that he thinks is going to get him off the hook somehow. what he and all of the liberals coming in defense aren't getting. I'm gonna bring it to you. Also, celebrities are doing their best anti-ice virtue signals, and it is as cringe and tone deaf as you'd expect. At least Bill Maher is calling them out. Put your phones on Do Not Disturb.
Scrolling with Hailey starts now. and a new intro too. How do we like that, right? New set, new year, new me, everything. Everything's new. I love it. I absolutely love it. All right. So the Grammys were last night and I know nobody cares. That's the last thing I'm going to say. But Don Lemon was there. There was like a pre-show party and he got a standing ovation.
All of his friends in the liberal Holly weirdo circle. He's the left's favorite new criminal and he's black and he's gay. Score. They love to check those little boxes. They love a good martyr to rally around. And they've got three this year already and we're only a month into 2026. They must be excited, right?
So Don Lemon on Friday evening, I think he was out in front of the courthouse in Los Angeles and he officially spoke out for the first time since being arrested. And he said this, last night, the DOJ sent a team of federal agents to arrest me in the middle of the night for something I had been doing for the last 30 years. And that is covering the news. Of course, that's not the whole story.
He continues, "...the First Amendment of the Constitution protects that work for me and for countless other journalists who do what I do." The arrest without recent precedent of a journalist for covering a protest signals reporting news is more crucial than ever.
Then he went on to say, there's no more important time than right now, this very moment for a free and independent media that shines a light on truth and holds those in power accountable. Again, I will not stop. I will not stop ever. Maybe we were thinking that Don Lemon would maybe stop after being arrested, but I guess he's going to keep going.

Chapter 3: How does Don Lemon's recent controversy relate to journalistic integrity?
After we do this operation, after we, what? He's like, I can't tell you. I know all the details, but I can't tell you because I'm in on this operation. And after we do this operation, I mean, this is the video that Don Lemon thinks is gonna exonerate him and he's just gonna be completely fine. He's gonna be vindicated. Are you kidding me?
This is the same video that's gonna get your ass in trouble. And again, nobody's trying to silence him, but you have to cover the news within the confines of the law. And this video shows that not only he knew about this crime beforehand, and he still continued to be an active participant in it. He didn't just follow them in and film it. He interrupted the service by interviewing the pastor.
You can't actively participate in a bank robbery and then claim like, oh, well, I was just a journalist. And, you know, you can claim that your First Amendment right allows you to be an accessory to a crime. Doesn't work like that, Don. And here's a little funny tidbit of information.
So Don Lemon has hired Hunter Biden's attorney, birds of a feather, they flock together, our favorite Democrat criminals, right? So, well, he sort of hired the same guy. Don Lemon hired this guy, Abe Lowell. I'm probably pronouncing that wrong, A-B-B-E, Abe Lowell. And that guy represented Hunter Biden during his tax and gun charge case.
And he argued that that case, it wouldn't have been a case if Hunter Biden wasn't Hunter Biden, insinuating that this was some kind of political hit job and Hunter Biden was innocent. And if his last name wasn't Biden, that he'd be let off scot-free, which is funny because Biden got into some shady business because of that last name.
And he probably thought that he was above the law because of that last name. And Don Lemon thinks the same thing. He keeps saying over and over. He was on that wench's podcast, Jennifer Welch. And he was like, well, I was just the biggest name. You know, I was, he keeps talking about how he's like the coolest person at the protests. Okay, Don.
So he's like, you know, they're going after me because like I'm the biggest celebrity at the protests. because I'm so popular and so cool. And, you know, anyway, Hunter Biden was way behind in payments to Abbe Lowell because Winston and Strawn is the law firm. And they filed a lawsuit against Hunter Biden because he had $50,000 in unpaid legal fees
So I wonder, are they charging Don Lemon extra because they're in the negatives because of Hunter Biden? I don't know. Are they taking this on pro bono? I'd like to know how much Don Lemon is paying for this guy.
But we also know that, you know, President Autopen waved his magic wand and pardoned pretty much his whole immediate family, at least the ones that he did shady business with before he left office. I don't think Don Lemon's going to be as lucky in Trump's America. A President Biden or Harris probably would have loved to see him storm the church, and he probably would have gotten away with it.

Chapter 4: What are the implications of protests on public safety?
over something that would be a misdemeanor at best or an infraction, it doesn't make any sense. It's not a good public policy decision and it wasn't well thought out in my opinion. Yeah. Well, a lot of Newsom's policies aren't well thought out. He just does whatever the woke mob tells him to. And, you know, however he can hang on to whatever power he has, you know, they just he want.
Oh, you want kids to be able to trans themselves? Sure. You know, you want illegal aliens to have free health care? Sure. I mean, he just does whatever. he needs to do to maintain power. And good on Jim McDonald to say that, you know, he's going to protect his ICE agents. You're not gonna have local law enforcement not cooperating with a federal agency.
That's how we got all of this chaos in Minnesota. Good on him for not allowing that to happen in LA, even a Democrat stronghold. ICE agents need to be able to do their jobs. They need to be able to do their jobs safely. And they cannot do that safely in sanctuary cities. That's where they need to be.
And Democrat politicians are making their states safe havens for crime and fraud, and then the American citizens who want to do something about it are demonized. Even worse, this is crazy. A mayoral candidate in Long Beach, California doesn't just want to defy law enforcement, local law enforcement. He doesn't want, you know, Long Beach, California to be safe for American citizens.
He wants it to be a safe haven for illegals and other criminals. He's actually encouraging gang members in his area to get rid of ICE. How is this for a policy platform? My name is Rogelio Martinez. I am calling all 55 gangs in my beautiful city. I expect a gang leader from every gang, all 55 gangs, and I'm not gonna name them by name, but I'm calling the Latino gangs.
I'm calling the Cambodian gangs. I'm calling the Filipino gangs. I'm calling the black gangs. I'm calling the Pacific Islander gangs. I'm calling all gang leaders to meet me right here, Long Beach City Hall, this coming Monday. Why Monday? Specifically, I need you to be here to meet me in person to take back this city.
because our leadership is not doing anything about it and our police are powerless. I have never been more grateful to live in Florida and so far away from Long Beach, California. That sounds like a recipe for disaster. So yeah, that's, I don't even know how to pronounce his name. That's Roguelo Martinez. He doesn't look like a mayoral candidate.
He looks like he's taking a fashion page out of a Fetterman's book with the sweatshirt and the hat. You know, he looks like a total thug. And again, inviting gang leaders to get rid of law enforcement is thug behavior. Could you imagine if Democrats vote that degenerate in?
And liberal voters, especially the progressive ones, are so delusional, they'll vote for the farthest left candidate on behalf of other communities or on behalf of minorities. And if those people don't also have a vote, the minority communities can vote for whoever they want. And then you have the white savior complex liberals who are voting on behalf of this group instead of themselves.
