Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Hello and happy Tuesday afternoon, everyone. I'm Hayley Carinia. Welcome to Scrolling with Hayley. We were just, you know, yapping in here as we do. We just got carried away and we were talking about Roblox versus Minecraft versus Fortnite, all of these gaming platforms that kids are obsessed with these days. And then we realized, oh, we're actually 20 seconds late for the show. Should we start?
We can yap on the show.
Chapter 2: What are the dangers of popular kids' games like Roblox?

So Democrats, they sure know how to pick them, don't they? In a resurfaced clip in 2023, Senate candidate James Tallarico was asked about his priorities. And yes, transing kids came to mind, which got me thinking, we already know why Democrat politicians and Big Pharma want your kids to be transgender. But how do they do it? How do they get inside the minds of children?
How does the social contagion take hold? Well, social media certainly has a thing or two to do with it. And How do you raise kids in 2026 safely? How can you shelter them from the digital world and for how long? And once they inevitably get on the internet, What or who is there waiting for them? In some cases, it's predators, groomers, pedophiles. In other cases, it's online chat rooms and AI.
Different dark web groups, different agendas to make your kids isolated, depressed, violent, and susceptible. So what does the threat look like and how do we stop it? Put your phones on Do Not Disturb. Scrolling with Haley starts right now. So back in 2023, James Tallarico, again, Democrat Senate candidate there in Texas, was a guest on a Super Bloom podcast with Candace King.
She was in the Vampire Diaries. She's an actress. And this was right around the time when Texas Children's Hospital said that it would no longer be giving gender affirming care for minors. They weren't supposed to be performing them.
They only stopped because Attorney General Ken Paxton launched an investigation into the hospital because Governor Greg Abbott had already signed Senate Bill 14 into law banning those kinds of surgeries for children. So then they only stopped once they got caught that they kept doing it despite this law. And around this time, this is when James went on the podcast.
He said, you know, all he can think about are those trans kids. Listen. Something that you love that's not family or friends. I love, I'm just saying this because it's on my mind, the trans children who showed up yesterday at the state capitol to advocate for their humanity. They shouldn't have to, but it was an inspiration to watch. Anything you love that's not your family or your friends.
He loves kids, not his kids, just random kids, trans kids at that. And they were top of mind for Tallarico. Why? Because he said he met them and was inspired by them. What is inspiring about kids who are being mutilated for political clout? What is inspiring about political Munchausen syndrome by proxy? Because that's what it is.

Chapter 3: How are kids being influenced by social media in 2026?
We have a gender-affirming wardrobe at our school. We have binders on demand for our students and other shapewear can easily be ordered. Your happiness is what matters because you are what matters. You are your own main character, right? So it's really important to have pronouns just so people can find who they are and identify themselves as they would like to be.
Because who you are is who you are, you know? Your happiness is what matters. Your joy is your joy. Out of breath. By the way, pronouns are just descriptors. It's fine in the hallways.
And, uh, and you've seen me in different manifestations, but this is actually pretty important to me because I have decided to announce to everybody that I am Deborah and I would like to be referred to as Deborah and my pronouns are she and her. And yes, I am declaring myself or identifying as transgender woman. And, um, It is a major event.
And so anyway, I really do appreciate all of the smiling faces that I see here. And I want to repeat again that you've already seen me misname, and I do misgender myself sometimes, and I'm just new at this. He's new at this whole being a woman thing. It's a major event. He still misgenders his own self sometimes. I'm announcing or changing or whatever this is. He doesn't even know.
That's the thing. They're so mentally ill. I mean, I'm laughing because it's ridiculous to see a man in an ugly wig and a dress declare themselves a woman. But it is really scary and sad to think that this is the adult in the room.
This is the adult in the room, someone who's mentally ill and doesn't even know what's going on, but is going to proclaim this lie in front of a whole group of children and then make them go along with this lie. Then you had the other teacher who's completely out of breath, just sitting down and talking and making a social media video. She turns her camera on and she's out of breath.
Like this was making her out of breath. And she's talking about how important it is that kids have their pronouns, whatever their pronouns are. And I don't mean this in the grammatical sense. I mean, everyone has pronouns. People usually identify as the ones that match their God-given birth, sex at birth.
But in this case, the trans teacher is just saying, oh, well, whatever pronouns you want and be whatever you want to be and encouraging these kids to be as sick and messed up in the head as they are. It's insane. And then let me know if you want to be a teacher at a trans affirming, exclusively trans affirming school. How do we find the opposite of that?
I mean, parents and grandparents watching this right now are probably thinking, are my kids at a school like this? How do I find out and how do I get them far, far away from them? And then there's always social media, because if you can't influence your kid to be trans at school, there are influencers like this guy who will show up on your kid's phone or tablet. Watch. Your parents made mistakes.

Chapter 4: What are the implications of new lawsuits against Roblox?
Do you remember? I mean, I'm a 90s kid.
Chapter 5: How is Roblox responding to accusations of unsafe practices?
I'm a millennial. I identify as Gen Z because I can't stand elder millennials. But I grew up in the golden ages, in my opinion. The early 90s, the 90s, the early 2000s, everything was just the best. We used to play outside. Well, those days are long gone. I remember days riding my bike with kids in the neighborhood. We would play manhunt, capture the flag. We would use our imaginations.
Again, those days are long gone. Kids aren't doing that anymore. Millions of kids are going to an online gaming platform called Roblox. And if you're a parent or a grandparent, you've probably heard of it. Your kids and grandkids statistically are on it. and it completely blew up during the COVID-19 pandemic.
iPad kids were already choosing their screens over in-person contact, but the pandemic really solidified that, right? The government was forcing people inside, schools were closed, extracurricular activities were closed, no one could play sports, gyms were closed. So what else was there to do but go find communities online? Well, it's not just community building and gaming for kids.
There are adults on Roblox. And like most adults who invade spaces for children, they don't usually have the best intentions. And there is a pedophile problem, as Bloomberg calls it. And it was exposed years ago. Years ago. Roblox is pedophile problem. This is an article from 2024. So let me just read you a little bit from this article.
By 2024, United States police had arrested at least two dozen people accused of abducting or abusing victims they'd met or groomed using Roblox. One of the platform's most popular and lucrative personalities was exposed as a pedophile. Lots of his followers were kids, and one of his followers happened to be his victim. So here it is.
Here's the story straight from the Department of Justice, because thankfully this guy has been caught. But it says New Jersey man sentenced to 15 years in federal prison after grooming minors online and transporting her across state lines via Uber for sex.
This guy used a fake name on the platform and he started talking with a 15 year old girl and they were talking at first about gaming and they were talking about social media and they connected on Instagram and Roblox and Discord. And then they started talking and becoming friendly, I guess you could say. And he actually started sending her gifts and sending certain, you know,
gifts and items to her parents' house. He actually gifted her a computer, like a tablet and a drawing stand, and have it delivered to her house. So I don't know how the parents weren't like, hey, you're 15 years old, what did you just order to the house, and with what card, and who sent this to you? I don't know, but...
Anyway, the guy, this predator, intentionally led the girl to believe that he could connect her with some job opportunities in the future. Because he was this huge influencer, if you will, this creator on Roblox. And he said, I can get you into this industry, this gaming industry. And then, of course, the conversation went from friendly and helpful to sexual.
