There he is, here we are. Hello to everybody on YouTube. Hit the like button, subscribe, podcast listeners. Leave us a five-star rating and review. I'm gonna tell you right now. On tomorrow's podcast is when we'll do our conference, finals, previews and predictions, both the East and the West. That's on Tuesday. Today we talk a little bit about Game 7, which was a blowout.
We can look ahead to the Nuggets offseason and their decisions that they'll have to make and maybe get into a little NBA news. But let's start with that game. After a shaky first quarter, Game 7 was never in doubt for OKC. The Thunder swarmed the Nuggets defensively. They forced 22 turnovers to run away. 1.23.95, so the top seeded Thunder will host the Timberwolves starting Tuesday.
The West, starting before the East, even though the West wrapped up later than the East there in the second round. Very weird. OKC's first trip to the conference finals since 2016. TK, we'll start with you here this morning. Your biggest takeaway from the Thunder laying the smack down on the Denver Nuggets.
It's all about that second quarter. I kind of think when it comes to basketball games, the game is very rarely won or lost in the second quarter. Seems like the least essential quarter to me as we're talking. But as we saw in Game 6, same thing in Game 7. Oklahoma City came out. They were a little nervous, I thought, in the first quarter here.
They missed 10 of their first 15 shots, couldn't stop fouling, Yolk kept going to the line, Aaron Gordon was getting things done inside. But then at the end of the first quarter, honestly, Russell Westbrook checked in, started turning the ball over. Then Julian Strother checks in at the start of the second quarter, starts turning the ball over.
Still though, a one-point game with three minutes left at the end of the half. An 18-5 run for OKC turned a... 46-45 in ein 60-46 Spiel.
Plus 40 in 26 Minuten. Leute sagen, ein einziges Spiel plus minus, das ist nicht immer der Fall. Das sagt nicht immer die Wahrheit. Ja. Ja. Ja. Ja.
