Chapter 1: Who is leading the 2026 U.S. Open and by how much?
Be the right club. Be the right club today.
That's better than most. How about him? That is better than most.
Better than most! Expect anything different?

Chapter 2: What insights does Harry Higgs share about travel logistics?
Let's let's get into it. Let's get it on.
TC is here. Hello, TC.
Hey, Sally, I'm just, I'm coming down from that cut watch that, uh, that, that took a while to pick up on that. And then they bounced pretty quickly. I'm not sure they totally understood it.
They were very concerned of whether or not Dylan Wu moved the cut line. They exited the premises before they found out if he made the cut. He did make the seven-footer to make the cut there. The No Layup Live show brought to you by Titles, the number one ball at the U.S. Open for 78 straight years and counting, and the most played driver, iron, and wedge this week at Shinnecock. Any questions?
That part was not in the copy, but that's it. Just a...

Chapter 3: How did Wyndham Clark perform during the tournament?
Just a statement there from our friends at Titleist. We are going to talk a lot about what happened today. We're going to, of course, talk Wyndham Clark and the unfortunate incident that happened to him last year. I don't think we've broken that one down yet. What he did this past few weeks. A lot of the movers up the board. A lot of the great rounds today.
Some guys that didn't have the best rounds. Going to go down the leaderboard. Some pleasant surprises. as well, some kind of random news and notes. We will be having an appearance here shortly from Icarito, who was on the grounds out there today. Maybe even a guest, Colin. Who knows? A lot to get to today.
Chapter 4: What notable rounds did Collin Morikawa achieve?
Deej, where are we going first?
Little Nero's just delivering Neil's pizza. He's eating it.
He's in the green room eating his pizza. We got a lot to get to today. I think we, of course, got to start with the guy who's leading by four shots, Wyndham Clark, TC's guy, Dub, alone at the top at minus seven. Gentlemen, we got 10 players under par after 36 holes at the U.S. Open at Shinnecock.
Just to level set for you a little bit, this is fewer players than we had under par at the halfway point in 2004. There were 11 players under par that year before... They unfortunately lost the golf course. So fingers crossed that we've got some of that coming this weekend. You can argue we lost the golf course the last couple of days, though. In the other direction.
We found where the other side is.

Chapter 5: Which players made significant moves up the leaderboard?
In 2018, there was one player under par at this point. 1995, there were six players under par. 1986, there was one player under par. So considering the wind, considering the softness, considering the... defensiveness that the USGA has put out. We're still pretty in line with... We're maybe a little on the higher side, but it's an interesting comparison, I thought, to those previous years.
The 36-hole lead in 2004 was minus six. Shigeki Maruyama and Phil Mickelson, so one shot lower than the blow pig finds himself. Good stat here. Over the last 30 years at the U.S. Open, 27 of the winners, all but three, have been within two of the lead after 36 holes. Obviously, nobody is within two of the lead at this point. Take that for what you will. But do you guys know the exceptions?
Do you guys know the guys that came from behind?
Chapter 6: What were the biggest surprises and missed cuts in the tournament?
Can I get, well, I was going to say Lucas Glover must be one. It wasn't Ricky Barnes.
He was not one of them.
Ricky Barnes had like a seven-shot lead at one point in that U.S. Open.
It might have been weirdly after the midway point.
It might have been.
Webb Simpson is one of them. Webb Simpson is one of them. Brooks, actually, in 2018, was five back of the lead at Shinnecock. And Fitz at the country club was three back, which he finds himself four back right now. So familiar place for him. I mean, guys, we got to start with Wyndham Clark. He's seven under par. He's driving it.

Chapter 7: How did the weather affect play during the U.S. Open?
He's driving it nice in spots. He's driving it horrible in spots. It's a very captivating storyline developing. I find he's at 21 of 28 fairways. through 36 holes, didn't miss a fairway today until the 13th hole, and then just completely lost it and missed four in a row, but was able to kind of hang on during that stretch.
Any consequences whatsoever, which seems to be a theme with Wyndham.
That's a good one. That's a good joke. All right, he got one. He got a jab in. That was a good one. Uh, yeah, to your point, TC missed big left on 13, uh, then hit it to 25 feet, miss big right on 14, hit it to 12 feet, big left on 15, hit it to 25 feet and then drove it in the bunker, chopped it around, made a bogey on the par five, uh, 16th, but. What, Solly, let's start with you.
Big macro, Wyndham Clark. How are we feeling?
Chapter 8: What are the expectations for the weekend rounds at Shinnecock?
How are we looking? What's on your mind?
He's played great golf. Look, he was on the good side of the draw. We know that, but there were, you know, 80-some golfers or whatever it is, 78, 77 other golfers that were on the good side of the draw as well that are not sitting here at seven under par through 36 holes. You must give him his flowers. It... He took advantage of the great wave that he got on Thursday night.
That's where he made up a lot of his differential. He played another solid round of golf today. It was kind of looking kind of stuck in neutral there for most of the morning, I guess, until he kind of made those three birdies in the last six holes. It is, of course, going to hopefully... We're not getting into setup talk yet. We're not doing that yet, but...
God willing, this golf course will change here over the next 48 hours into a different test to the point where... I hope this place dries down quickly. We're going to talk about that. He's driven it well to the point where it's not like he's getting away with murder. He got away with some stuff, but overall, he's driven the ball quite well. I don't think it's like...
Quite a Bryce in 2024 Pinehurst situation yet. But it's just the questions that are going to get asked are going to be totally different. And the test is going to be totally different. And it's going to be it's we're 50% of the way through the golf tournament.
But I'd say we're in reality 30% through in terms of how much fluctuation I think we're hopefully going to see here over the next two days. I'm holding out hope for that.
TC, what are your thoughts?
I'll leave it to Wyndham. He said, I really felt like I could be in double digits, but you know, the great thing about that is I didn't feel like I had my best and I am still leading as of right now. Hopefully I can bring my a game on the weekend. That's good stuff. USJ should feel very proud of what they've put forth the last couple of days.
so i think you're going to rely a lot on on wave splits today i think you are going to rely on waves i think there's i think there no no statistics from the wave splits i think there's there's different parts of the wave as well and i think i think the smash and grab looting that that wyndham did last night uh i can't unsee that and props to him for taking advantage of it um but you know again he's a smash and grab specialist
