Chapter 1: Who are the main speakers in this episode?
Hi, hi, hi. It's your girl, Bren. I'm recording this intro on the go because I'm a little bit of a busy bee, but I'm so excited for this next episode because guess who I have? It's another housewife. She's from New Jersey. It's the powerhouse in pigtails, Margaret Joseph herself. And I know you're going to love this episode because we talk about all things housewives. We talk about reunions.
And she actually gives me really great advice on where I can find my husband. I'll give you a hint. It's where you can buy paint samples and stuff to do a home renovation. So I love this episode. I love Margaret. And I know you're going to love it too. So thank you for listening, blowers. And don't forget to subscribe. One.
Hello, welcome to Please See Below, my brand new podcast, all about perfecting the art of oversharing. Here, we mention the unmentionables and talk about topics and things that no one wants to say out loud, but everyone is desperate to know.
Welcome to Please See Below, and I'm so happy and thankful today to have the one and only Margaret, Real Housewives of New Jersey, business owner, queen of one-liners. Thank you.
Brynn, I'm so happy to be here, and congratulations on your new podcast. I'm very excited. Thank you. And I thought you were great on New York. Aw, thank you. And I know it was a brutal season, but you're a tough broad. I'm a tough broad. What was your take on my season? Listen, I think you're someone who stirs the pot, but they need you.
In my opinion, they need you because you have to have someone who keeps it moving. And I think that's what it was. My thing about New York was, listen, you guys were going up against OGs, right? They can't compare to that. It's a totally different show. And I think the sad thing was it got too dark at the end. Not unlike my show, which got extremely dark.
There's multiple levels of darkness. There's multiple levels of darkness.
And I wish it wouldn't have gone that way because that's a rough topic. Yes. That's a very rough topic. And I felt very, you know, I felt sad about it because, you know, my heart broke for you. And everybody, I don't think people are empathetic enough to what was going on.
No, and sometimes too when I see, it's been hard looking at when people are commenting or whatnot or even people from my own show and everyone's going back and forth and picking apart parts of the conversation or what was said or what was didn't and the intention behind it and I'm like,

Chapter 2: What challenges did Brynn face during her reunion?
So it's very – but fans always say that. You look old or you look this. I was like, yeah, okay. And if you saw these people that write to me. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You have to consider the source.
It is all-time classic. And they write – and, you know, I get the Facebook Messenger alert. I get the Instagram alert. Yeah. Do they hit you up on both? Yeah, on both.
Double whammy. Double whammy.
I don't even go on Facebook anymore. I'm telling you, it is classic. And then when I, I've spoken about this before, and then blogs will say Margaret's insulting her fans. Margaret's not insulting her fans. I am very sweet and kind. I make jokes about it. You have to stick up for yourself. Some of these people, I'm telling you, you would die. You would die what some of them look like.
They look like they never left the house in like 35 years.
It's like you read the comment. And at first I always thought, oh, who cares? Or I would tell my friends who are on reality TV shows like Vanderpump Rules, I'd be like, don't read the comments. They're just whatever. They're in their mom's basement and who cares? But then when you're in the position, you read it, like, it does hurt.
And even though I do click and I'll be like, this person, like, obviously they're just, you know, they look like a hot mess or whatnot. It's a little – it makes me feel a little bit better, but I still feel icky. It's a little – it's icky. It's just icky.
It's creepy. It's actually creepy. I have people – They love to say, your kids hate you. You're the worst mother. Because, you know, I don't put my kids on television.

Chapter 3: How does Margaret Josephs manage personal and show conflicts?
Yeah, she's very funny. I'm obsessed. I'm obsessed.
Yeah, so I give her credit. Still wearing the high heels. Doesn't leave the house without makeup. She's still wearing high heels? Oh, my God. She's better in heels than I am. She's always in the high heels.
Oh, my God.
Yeah, she's like Zsa Zsa Gabor.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you're so much like her.
Oh, yeah, for sure. We're very into the glam. I might wear sweatpants, but I'm wearing a fur right to the supermarket. Yeah, same. Yeah, same thing. You know what Marge Senior will say? Andy likes me better than he does.
Marzia is one of those and I'm like Marzia well it's true honey he comes to say hello to me first I'm like he's a thing for mothers relax Marzia I know she is so funny how I mean watching you guys you share so is that how it is in real life so when the cameras are down did that just was that always your relationship being so open and honest about your childhood with her is that always how it was or did that happen because of cameras no do you know what it was we were always very close you know because we're 20 years apart she was the same age as my ex-husband yeah
But listen, it was tumultuous also. People are like, you threw her under the bus. You wrote about her in a book. No, we have a very intimate, bonded relationship. But listen, I always say I was the parentified child, right? But she's also my mother and my best friend, which is a little weird. But I feel like we raised each other because she was a single mother. So of course we're so close.
As crazy as she makes me, I can't live without her. And I love her so much. And she's the best grandmother ever. the best mother-in-law to Joe. She is like, she does anything. She's just the greatest. She's like so close at Lexi. So she's fabulous. But I had, you know, when I told her, I didn't tell her certain things because I wouldn't want to upset her.

Chapter 4: What advice does Margaret give about handling secrets on reality TV?
So that's so nice. What about for you?
For me? No, you know what I would say, honestly? I just got a message, a DM, yesterday or 48 hours ago. Those messages are up. Brynn, you'll probably never see this, but I'm like, sometimes I go in the things. Because I was actually DMing with Kyle, Kyle Richard. She's super sweet. She is very sweet. She's so sweet. And she was giving me like paragraphs of advice.
She's like, don't go on the Internet. Don't do anything. Don't just stay off. Good. Yeah. She's lovely. She's really lovely. And her sister's lovely, too.
Yes.
Kathy. And so and so I she was like some of the some of the she's like, sometimes I read the messages and some are really nice and blah, blah. So I start reading some of the messages in this. Young woman wrote me and she said, Brynn, thank you so much for sharing. Like, I've decided after a year and a half to pursue legal action against my ex that did something to me and did it.
And she was like, I know you'll never see that. And I wrote her back. I was like, I don't I'm so sorry that that happened to you. And I'm so sorry that even have to say like. oh, I'm glad you did that or I'm glad that my sharing helped you. But the fact that someone's... And I was like, keep me posted. No, of course. But listen, you've made a difference in people's lives.
So that does make a difference. Yeah, that's nice. I think that's nice. What would your advice be if there is a third season for us? If I'm asked back what... What do you do? I think... Do I just not say anything? Do I just be on my best behavior?
No, I think just go back and be your authentic self. Yeah. And I think that's the best thing. Just be real. I think that's the most important thing. I think everybody has a bad season.
Yeah.
