Day 2 From NFL Combine! Shane Steichen, Lance Zierlein, James Boyd, and Others Join!

(00:00-25:54) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday from the convention center with Jake Query discussing some of his early observations from radio row. He shares a funny interaction that he had when he was walking over from the station. Also, he dives into last night’s loss for the Pacers and the fact that the MLS commissioner was attending last night’s game. (25:54-36:18) – James Boyd from The Athletic and Fan Morning Show joins Jake Query from the convention center to share his takeaways from their conversation this morning with Chris Ballard, tries to read into what Ballard had to say about quarterback competition, and examines the quarterback options that the Colts must compete with Anthony Richardson. (36:18-47:11) – Jake closes out the first hour of the show with James Boyd sticking around for another segment to discuss some of the other storylines that will be discussed around the NFL Combine this week, assesses if Anthony Richardson is still in the conversation as the franchise quarterback because of all the traits he possesses versus the play on the field, and explains that Richardson has been behind the other quarterbacks in his class because he wasn’t exposed to some of the same things that others were. (1:28:35-1:38:50) – The final hour of the program starts with Jake and Eddie discussing tonight’s game for the Indiana Pacers against the Toronto Raptors, examine the injury report with Tyrese Haliburton and T.J. McConnell being questionable, and then debate who would make the best volleyball player on the Pacers team. (1:38:50-2:00:09) – Head Coach Shane Steichen of the Indianapolis Colts joins Jake Query from radio row to explain where he needs to improve as the head coach of the team, weighs in on what the quarterback competition will look like for the team leading up to the regular season, takes Jake through how he close he works with Chris during the draft when creating the board, lists the run game as the team’s strength right now, says the team needs to get better at playing complimentary football, applauds Michael Pittman Jr. for playing through his back injury, and shares what keeps him up at night during the season. (2:00:09-2:11:57) – Today’s show closes with Jake sharing his takeaways from his conversation with Shane Steichen and previewing tonight’s game for IU against Penn State.
