Query & Company
IU & Purdue Preview with Bruce Weber + Should the Colts acquire Trey Hendrickson?
07 Mar 2025
(00:00-23:57) – Query & Company opens on a Friday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison acknowledging the tweet that Jim Irsay fired off this morning. Big Ten Network analyst Bruce Weber joins the program to preview the final weekend of regular season basketball for the Big Ten. He admits that Michigan State has been the most consistent team during conference play until this week, explains what Purdue has done in its last two games to look like the team fans are used to seeing, and believes that IU is better with only one of Oumar Ballo and Malik Reneau on the floor but does say that they can play well together in short bursts. (23:57-33:43) – Following his conversation with Bruce Weber, Jake shifts back to the topic he touched on to start the show. He explains what it means to see Jim Irsay back to tweeting about the Colts needing to get back to their winning ways. (33:43-44:03) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake looking at the Jim Irsay tweet from a historical standpoint. (44:03-1:10:55) – After the show yesterday, Adam Schefter broke the news that Trey Hendrickson has requested to be traded from the Cincinnati Bengals with their desire to retain Tee Higgins and sign Ja’Marr Chase to an extension. Jake and Eddie debate if the Colts are legitimate players for Hendrickson and what it was say about Chris Ballard if he pulls the trigger. Plus, they discuss last night’s loss for the Pacers against the Hawks without Tyrese Haliburton. (1:10:55-1:25:58) – Oakland Men’s Basketball Head Coach Greg Kampe joins Query & Company fresh off a win last night over Milwaukee to solidify a return to Indianapolis for the Horizon League Tournament. Coach Kampe recaps the win, explains how long it took for his team to figure out its identity after losing so many players from last year’s NCAA Tournament team, assesses what Paul Corsaro did at IU Indianapolis in his first season, and how he uses what Trey Townsend did in his Oakland career as a recruiting tactic. (1:25:58-1:32:17) – Hour number two quickly concludes with Jake and Eddie comparing what Michael Douglas sounds like compared to Greg Kampe. After they decide they are clones, they discuss what’s going on in the IU women’s game against USC in the Big Ten Tournament. (1:32:17-2:01:03) – Kevin Bowen from The Fan Morning Show joins the program to weigh in on the Jim Irsay tweet from earlier this morning. Additionally, he admits that the Colts actions suggest that they are going to start Anthony Richardson even though they keep suggesting quarterback competition and gives his thoughts on whether the Colts will be interested in acquiring Trey Hendrickson. Finally, he gives his prediction for the IU basketball coach. (2:01:03-2:08:40) – As we do every Friday on Query & Company, Jake shares a feel-good story with it being a good for the heart Friday sponsored by Franciscan Health!
