(25:15-38:16) – Mark Montieth joins the program ahead of tonight’s game between Purdue and UCLA to explain the significance of tonight’s game. They go back in time to the first time these two teams met, wonder how Purdue will honor Matt Painter when he retires because he is going to finish as the winningest coach of all-time in Purdue basketball history, and announces that Rick Mount will be attendance for tonight’s game. (38:16-43:26) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake and Eddie previewing the start of the IndyCar season on Sunday in St. Petersburg. (43:26-1:08:49) – WRTV’s Kevin Gregory joins Jake Query in-studio to discuss his final night on television tonight. Jake asks him about some of his early memories in his media career starting with UCLA/Purdue facing off in the first game in Mackey Arena history. Also, Jake asks him who he will remember the most when he starts reflecting on his career and some of his time spent with Jake at Channel 6. (1:08:49-1:28:14) – Maris Valainis, aka Jimmy Chitwood, joins Query & Company to share what it means to him to be connected to Gene Hackman, reveals that he provided acting lessons to all of the basketball players, shares how he got casted for Jimmy Chitwood, explains what Hackman was like on set when they weren’t shooting the movie, and whether or not he knew that Hoosiers would have a huge impact on the community when they were filming it. (1:28:14-1:28:59) – Hour number two quickly concludes with Jake sharing some takeaways from his conversation with Maris Valainis and preview the final hour of the show. (1:28:59-1:54:03) – Kevin Bowen from The Fan Morning Show joins Jake Query on a Friday to share some of his early combine takeaways from the national perspective, reveals what he took from the conversations from Chris Ballard, Shane Steichen, and Lou Anarumo on the three shows this week, assesses if this is the first time the Colts are acknowledging that they are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel for Anthony Richardson, and does believe that Ballard’s words are different about his free agency approach.
