23 Mar 2023

Description

The Fan Midday Show Rundown 3/23/23 (00:00-26:59) – The Fan Midday Show opens on a Thursday discussing their frustrations with the Indiana Pacers defeating the Toronto Raptors last night, how they could be hurting their chances to get the best wing in the draft if they actively try to make the play-in tournament, and producer Eddie Garrison brings up a point that doesn’t receive a lot of attention. They also turn to the Colts quarterback situation with pro days in full swing for the top quarterback prospects. (26:59-44:43) – Fox Sports Radio host Aaron Torres joins Brian and Jimmy on the Fan Midday Show to give his perspective on who will win the NCAA Tournament with the Sweet 16 starting this evening, what he would do if he was Chris Ballard come draft night if Will Levis and Anthony Richardson were the only QB’s on the board, and asks Brian for advice on how to inform a producer that you don’t like their taste in music when coming back from breaks.   (44:43-47:13) – Hour one concludes with Jimmy and producer Eddie Garrison mentioning the Indiana women’s team falling last night to the Miami Hurricanes in heart breaking fashion while Dane grabs a snack from the vending machine. (47:13-1:11:34) – The South Bend Tribune’s Tom Noie joins Brian and Jimmy following Notre Dame hiring Micah Shrewsberry from Penn State to be their next basketball coach to give his thoughts on it, why he believes Shrewsberry will succeed almost immediately when he gets to South Bend, what Mike Bray will end up doing after a falling out with USF, and what ultimately led to the fallout of Bray leaving Notre Dame. (1:11:34-1:24:51) – Producer Eddie Garrison lobbed up a question to Brian and Jimmy ahead of the show regarding which loss was worse? Purdue losing to Farleigh Dickinson in the round of 64 or the Indiana Hoosiers women’s team falling at home to Miami in the round of 32. (1:24:51-1:31:37) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Brian letting Eddie explain his case as to why Team USA should NOT have had Mookie Betts bunt with a runner on base in the ninth against Ohtani because Brian is in the camp that Mookie should have bunted. (1:31:37-1:56:41) – The final hour of the show begins with Brian and Jimmy discussing the decision by Mavericks owner Mark Cuban to file a protest over the miscommunication in the third quarter in last night’s game against the Warriors. Then they transition into the NCAA Tournament games that are happening tonight and then Brian reveals that Eddie is a pro-bunting. (1:56:41-2:09:51) – Miami guard and former Lawrence Central standout Nijel Pack joins Brian and Jimmy on the Fan Midday Show to express the excitement he had last weekend knocking off Indiana, how challenging of a matchup the Houston Cougars are for the Hurricanes tomorrow, and then how much different high school basketball is in Indiana compared to the other states that he’s seen high school hoops. (2:09:51-2:12:43) – The final segment of the show is spent with Jimmy sharing the JCook Plays of the Day and Eddie shares a play that he likes tonight that goes against one of Jimmy’s picks.Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
