(26:42-44:43) – The Athletic’s Jared Weiss joins Query & Company with Jake Query and James Boyd to evaluate the Eastern Conference with teams getting better while the Boston Celtics run things back, shares where he could see the Indiana Pacers finishing in the Eastern Conference if they’re healthy, assesses how different of a head coach Joe Mazzula is compared to other head coaches in the NBA, weighs in on what Jake has heard pertaining to the future of Brad Stevens in the NBA and reacts to the news of Derrick White signing a 4-year $125.9 million contract extension. (44:43-49:30) – Hour one concludes with Jake and James discussing some of their thoughts about the Indiana Fever recording their first win last night against a team above average. (49:30-1:13:08) – The second hour of the show starts with Jake and James discussing Paul George signing with the Philadelphia 76ers. After they briefly discussed that, they transition to the Indiana Pacers with Andrew Nembhard extension eligible. James brings up a point that the Pacers should want to get the extension done but Nembhard should not want the extension done now so he can secure more money after next season. (1:13:08-1:33:08) – Indiana Fever reporter, Matt Byrne, from ClutchPoints joining the program with Jake Query & James Boyd to recap last night’s win for the Indiana Fever, assess the way that Caitlin Clark has played the last two weeks, reacts to Jake’s question about if he believes people are attending games to see Clark play or just be a part of the phenomenon, and states that the Fever need to prove that they can beat one of the top four teams in the WNBA before calling them a playoff team. (1:33:08-2:01:32) – Jake and James begin the final hour of the show by discussing the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers. Jake, James, and Eddie get into a conversation about whether Paul George and Julius Randle will be willing to accept the fact that they are the third option on their teams now after being the first or second option for most of their careers. Finally, they share their way too early power rankings for the Eastern Conference. (2:01:32-2:12:45) – During the break, Klay Thompson signed a contract with the Dallas Mavericks. Jake, James, and Eddie react to the contract and get into a conversation about whether Klay is still a serviceable player on a championship team.
